I've had dating opportunities present themselves recently which I put down to the Jupiter conjunct natal Mars transit in my 5th House (my past history has alsways shown this transit to give my love life a kick up the butt).

Unfortunately, this time its occurring alongside a Neptune square natal Mars transit (thought it had passed but Neptune retrograde has been activated it again until February next year).

So I feel stuck.

Jupiter is igniting romantic opportunities but everything I read about Neptune square Mars says I should do nothing and keep a very low profile - if I don't all I'll experience is disillusionment, toxic scenarios and thwarted expectations.

So getting involved in any new romance appears too be a major no-no until this has passed. Even if it looks good or feels good, expert opinion appears to suggest that I will be deluding myself.

However, by the time Neptune has passed so will have Jupiter as well - and all the opportunities will have dried up.

Is there *any* chance Neptune squaring Mars might represent bringing fantasy into reality instead? Or isn't as fatal as I've read? Or is it pretty much a guarantee of wild goose chases, shattered illusions and/or toxic entanglements best avoided?

I have no idea, sorry. I wouldn't put it off completely, if opportunities that you like are presenting themselves. Or actually, I might, but I'm a thousand times more skittish than your average person.

Major events always involve aspects to the natal chart - generally by progressions, reinforced by transits.

Major life changing events will show as "multiple simultaneous major aspects between the natal and PROGRESSED charts". ... One or two aspects will not have sufficient force to make a major life change.

Use maximum orbs of 1 degree (for progressions and transits).

At the time of the event, appropriate aspects will be exact (if the birth time is correct).

You might enjoy the feeling of being and falling in love. Like Robert Hand also usually relates-- It doesn't always mean that under transit opportunities, it 'won't' be the right person, or that you are seeing them altogether-incorrectly? It just means you can both be 'in a spell of Wonder' of sorts. IF you realize that this is going on, then you will be mindful and see through it more on a 'whole' level.

But I KNOW what you mean.
I do the same thing. Shut the door on my life, waiting for "bad" transits to pass?.. Thing is, there will ALWAYS be 'the next bad thing'. You don't know, if you're walking on constant "no" and shut-downs? You can become 'afraid' of Life?!

Some "personal" transits you (and the Other) may be having might bring you together, and, might be fated!

And ... note how the interceptions and duplications of your natal chart has had an emphasis change in the progressed chart.

Gemini-Sagittarius signs are still intercepted, along with Neptune + NN ... but Mars is NOT intercepted in the Progressed chart, and the house axis has changed from 5/11 to 10/4.

Moreover ... 1st and 7th houses are still duplicated ... but their cusp signs have changed from Leo/Aquarius to Virgo/Pisces, and that progressed Pisces Venus/Jupiter conjunction is currently sitting in the over-emphasised 7th house of the Progressed Chart (and the natal chart's 3rd/9th houses of self-expansion).

Seize the day, Capguy75 ... if only because Uranus may insist that you do so when it's current retrograde transit stations opposite your natal Uranus (from 9th to 13th January 2020), emphasising the life-changing importance of your current "Uranus Half Return" (which began around 15th June 2018 and ends around 22nd February 2020).

[Note for information, re your interceptions and duplications :-

1.) A Leo/Aquarius problem in your natal 1st and 7th houses is adversely affecting the activities of your natal 2nd and 8th houses, in a way which prevents you from making the best/most-effective 5th/11th house use of your Gemini/Sagittarius/Mars/Neptune/NN qualities.
