Hey saille, cards are saying you two are so holed up with your own thoughts and energies, there is no alignment or connection with each other. There's distance between the two of you. However he does have feelings and cares about you, just that he is very guarded and doesn't see things being able to work out. He wants you to move on and put a close to your current connection. It's being indicated there was some ending of sorts. He wants a better more peaceful relationship with you, it feels more like rebuilding a friendship to me. In the future though things can change, but there'll be a lot of sacrifices to be made before your relationship is cleansed and both of you are ready.
