I've been grasping at so many other things outside of this particular workplace for about a year and a half -there's another particular place that I would really like to work at, but they haven't had any openings so far- but nothing has materialized yet. I'm trying my hardesttttt

I've been working my butt off for the past 8 years in this field and had really not found it difficult to advance - I'm never ungrateful for my luck or the help I've received from collaborators. But I feel like I've somewhat hit a roadblock for the past two years, although I received a very extensive and super tough mid-career education just before this time. I feel like I'm spreading myself thinner and thinner and still finding it difficult to move myself to a better institution where I'll be able to do more meaningful work

Am I being astrologically challenged in a way I'm not privy to in my career? Any insights into the rest of 2019 and 2020 where I'm able to produce meaningful work without having to quit and sacrifice my livelihood?

I'm really super demoralized - help this 10th house girl out! Hope everyone's having a wonderful weekend.

Its the transit of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn sitting in your first house..and Pluto has been squaring your natal Sun for a good while and earlier this year Saturn has also been squaring your Sun...it will get tougher before the end of the year as transiting Saturn goes direct the middle of this month and gets closer to squaring your Sun again...and Pluto will be tough again next year and then off and on until January of 2023. Saturn will move past squaring your Sun by the end of Feb 2020. On the plus side, Jupiter will start to transit your 1st house in early December 2019...but watch for weight gain.

Spring said much of what was also on my mind as I looked through your chart, so if I had to add anything meaningful onto that, I would also note that the ruler of your 10th house, Mercury, will be undergoing some intense transits via Pluto and Saturn.

Pluto is almost exactly sextile your natal Mercury at the moment, which could symbolize power struggles and people attempting to thwart you in your place of work. The sextile is an easy, free flowing aspect though, so it could show that the trials and tribulations you're going through will help fortify you in your future work endeavours.

Saturn will also be sextile your Mercury once it goes direct tomorrow. Saturn is currently at 13* Capricorn at the moment, so from November until.. probably June 2020 you'll feel maybe restricted, supressed, etc. but you are a Capricorn ASC, so you may find the sextile energy of Capricorn more easy to work with than other people might. So it could certainly be a fruitful opportunity to find a job more better suited towards you and your future needs.

Transit Uranus will be opposite your natal Pluto for a while so go off the wall, apply to places that don't even seem like a fit for you, for things you think you wouldn't even qualify for, let your ambition and your eccentricity lead you.. as an air Sun, Gemini Moon this should be easy.

looking at your progressed chart mercury is trine to Jupiter with the midpoint at 13cap15 so the transiting south node will transiting exactly in early october. your sun is nearing midheaven. these aspects seem to relate to your favorable professional work.

but there are a couple of aspects that might pertain to your feelings of obstructions you don't know about.

progressed eris is at 15arie41 which was squared by the transiting node on September 13th. this is square to the Jupiter/mercury midpoint.this can show that there is someone in your environment that is jealous of your success and may be working against you.
this is shown by the progressed sun/mars square midpoint at 14cap23. the sun/mars square can show the tensions and obstructions you are wondering about.these obstructing vibrations will be very strong from September 21-25.

eros is square to ixion in the progressed which makes me think the obstruction might be from a person who is quite fond of you but whom you might have pushed away recently.

the midpoint of progressed Eros/Saturn is at 15cap13 and the transiting south node was conjunct this point on sept 15th.
