My top two dominant planets are sun (12.4%) and pluto (12.2%). I expected pluto dominance since I have a scorpio stellium, but am surprised that I am slightly more sun dominant. I am confused as to where this comes from in my chart. Is it due to certain aspects to my sun, or the number of planets concentrated in my 5th house?

Also, how do you think I would come off/appear to people with these dominant planets. They seem a bit contradictory to me. Thanks!

If they don't have an explanation at Astrodienst, you'd have to ask Walter Pullen since he's the one that constructed that rating system. I don't use it or recommend it as it has many of the shortcomings of western astrological thinking.

The weight given to the Sun in your chart is due to the notion of 'accidental dignity' by its presence in the 5th house. This is the pop western astrological assumption of direct correspondence of signs to houses, a rather simplistic set of assumptions no one seems bothered enough to actually test. It's all purely hypothetical. http://www.astro.com/astrowiki/en/Dominance

According to my own studies and experience as an expert birth chart rectifier there are two types of planetary strength:

(a) The influence level of a given planet in this lifetime based on the position it has in relation to MC or Asc. In your case, assuming the chart is pretty well spot-on accurate as shown, Saturn & Moon fit this definition.

(b) The integrated overall strength of a planet that is based on numerous factors as given in the composite traditional Indian (Vedic) Shadbala rating system, which takes into account a dozen or more factors. This is strength internalized through soul development and will not usually be consciously felt as with the first type of strength. With these considerations, virtually no one has Pluto as strong as or stronger than the Sun because the Sun is more fundamental in soul development and Pluto the final stage before leaving the solar system. So integrated strength is not the same as points correlating to sign, etc, as assuming by western astrologers.
