Hi Graham! Following the other thread and Thor’s hammer I am wondering how this in natal or triggered with transits effects a person? You said this could be causing the bad impressions, so it is a negative aspect? Thank you! IP: Logged |

Please read the article on this at http://aliceportman.com/thors-hammer/ Then, we can discuss here how your temporary progressed and transit configurations might influence you specifically. IP: Logged |

Hi Graham, thank you for the link! I can agree with the inner tension part but always thought this was due to the square of mars to moon/sun. It does not seem like I have any favorable aspects to “release” this tension besides trine of mars to mercury. Would this be the only outlet? Do you have any advice? As far as criticism I am not sure if I get an unfair amount. Maybe from my father but that is just him. Or maybe yes there has been some from the public and that is where I feel the unintentional bad first impression comes from. I looked at transits and progressions and can’t see any current conjunctions in that 8 to 10 degree Capricorn midpoint but there could be other aspects I am missing. Seems like Jupiter just passed though which may have magnified the Thor’s hammer? IP: Logged |

The natal issue IS the square of mars to moon/sun - but it manifests/behaves as a temporary Thor's Hammer when progressed and transit planets pass through 8Cap33 to 10Cap33.

You have a natal Chiron-Mercury-Mars-Saturn Kite ... through which the tension of the temporary Thor's Hammer can be released.

This criticism is a feature of the Thor's Hammer. ... So, it will manifest only when progressed and transit planets are passing through 8Cap33 to 10Cap33.Since transit Saturn did that from 21st March to 15th May 2018, and from 7th to 24th December 2018, you may have experienced some (Thor's-Hammer-related) criticism at that time. quote: I looked at transits and progressions and can’t see any current conjunctions in that 8 to 10 degree Capricorn midpoint but there could be other aspects I am missing. Transit Jupiter passed through those activation degrees from 8th to 17th January 2020.However, your progressed Mercury (which turned retrograde on 12th July 1993) began passing through 10VIRGO33 on 24th March 2015; stationed at 9Virgo38 (to turn direct) on 22nd December 2017 and will continue to trine your Capricorn Thor's Hammer apex degree until 2nd April 2022 (when it finally moves beyond 10Virgo33). ... And my guess is that this 7 year passage of progressed Mercury through 9Virgo38 to 10Virgo33 will have activated your temporary Thor's Hammer (via the Uranus/Neptune mid-point at 8Cap59). So ... the question now is "what has your Mercury been (most) focused upon since 24th March 2015?" IP: Logged |

Hi Graham, thank you so much for all of this info. As far as what my mercury has been concentrated on since 2015, I would think money & career - which makes sense with my natal mercury in 2nd house (trine mars in 10th, & Saturn in 6th). Yes I forgot about the kite aspect but not sure how it physically manifests like would my mars/mercury help my healing (chiron)? Also I did think I had a natal Thor’s hammer not just one when transits occurred but maybe I am wrong? IP: Logged |

You are correct. ... The Uranus/Neptune mid-point (at 8Cap59) is at the apex of a natal Thor's Hammer, which has Mars-square-Moon as the base. However, it is still activated by progressions and transits passing through 8Cap33 to 10Cap33 ... but that Uranus/Neptune mid-point means that it is also activated by progressions/transits passing through 7Cap5 9 to 8Cap33 (and over both natal Moon and Mars).

Moon-Mercury-Mars are in a natal Learning Triangle, and Mercury + Mars are also both participants in the kite formation. ... These contacts provide Mars with a means of diverting the negative effects of the Thor's Hammer - and to learn (over time) how to handle the Moon-Mars square. ... that learning will then help you to achieve the Chiron-Saturn objectives of the kite. Thank you Graham, you are always so informative! I was unaware of the Learning Triangle and have actually never heard of it before so will do some research about it. It seems like Mars is really the outlet for both Thor’s Hammer and Moon/Mars square since it is the one planet involved in both the positive and negative aspects. I have to really think more about this but thank you for all of your help!
