Anyone currently going through this or having been through this and come out the other side? Would like to hear experiences.

I'm 4-5 years into it now and it's horsesh1t. I would say it's pretty awful especially if it comes around after your 20's or 30's as you really notice the difference. It feels like your personal power is being taken away and you no longer matter. If you've previously had good relationships and were well liked and respected, well suddenly you'll find yourself being mistreated and disrespected left and right. You can no longer trust or count on people - relationships suddenly get very distorted and toxic. Friends and family start turning on you, backstabbing you, betraying you, etc. And they don't care, they are ready to drop you at any time, won't ever apologise or have remorse, and they actually get away with it! In fact they feel self righteous about whatever they've done to you and feel like you deserved it. They usually first break a boundary or commit something horrible that destroys the relationship. Most relationships just dissolve that way. It's all happening to promote that feeling of having no power and not mattering to life or anyone.
The worst is you attract a lot of aggressive people. Jealousy and aggression seem to be a huge theme. And they won't stop trying to rob you of any confidence and stability you have. And your response to being violated or stepped on in any way is usually pretty intense too - resentment is felt immediately and you are likely to also feel enraged yet powerless as you are not in a favourable position. Responding with aggression doesn't help but neither does responding reasonably - whatever you do you are perceived as the villain and serious actions might be taken against you, even if not deserved. You find you are no longer supported or cared for in any way. People around you act carelessly and get away with it, even if it hurt you. Be it at home, work, or somewhere where you are a client and should be receiving a service.
You are forced into seclusion or loneliness more or less. You feel unsupported, and you are. By the universe... Humans need personal power and things going in their favour more often than not to survive and thrive. But in this period everything seems to be going against you, and, well... it most often is. It's like you always seem to be getting in trouble for no good reason and things have become sinister.

I've seen people going through Pluto transit their 12th house, before it hit mine, and they are not great to be around. In the sense that there's always trouble following them, and if you actually happen to be close and supportive of them, you will be impacted and suffer too. It doesn't seem like anyone can do anything against that nasty Pluto force in the worst of all houses. Pluto seriously has no good reason to ever be in the 12th house.

Hi there, just chiming in. Although, I haven't yet experienced Pluto transiting my 12th house, but I already have experience with Plutonian energy from the last 8 years. Whichever area it touches in one's chart, it goes through immense transformation.

Pluto shows the cracks where something is disfuncional, not authentic, then destroys to start everything from scratch. Basically, from the "Good, bad and the ugly" Pluto tends to shed light on this latter the most which is very often hidden - until it comes to the surface and wreaks havoc 😏 It happens for a major reason, for the purpose of e.g. releasing toxicity from one's life. After 8 years I can definitely tell it's hard. Never experienced anything like this before, it was so hard I could barely exist in the first couple of years, even lost lot of weight, my family was constantly telling me I was as thin as a skeleton. But, what helps to ease the powerful experience a bit is to surrender to the major changes and not to hold onto toxicity - be it situations, experiences, people... Rolling with the punches. It definitely teaches resilience and where one's limits lay at.

The 12th house can sometimes also signify past life and some karma to settle (hence the hurtful people and the resentment) I'm not even surprised people have started to suddenly (and finally) show their true colors. Even the aggressive people. Pluto tends to bring abusive, bully-like people, even crazy, obsessive and overly possessive ones. Also, the 12th house can mean the unconscious, too. No wonder people break boundaries, even show narcissistic traits after some time. These type of behaviours almost every time stem from their own unconscious mind not being aware of their dynamics at all.

I'm not sure if this is gonna be encouraging for you, but I think at the end of the transit you will come out at the other end with reading people like books. Simply put. See behind their masks and see deeply inside their "bad and ugly" (Pluto/Scorpio energy = depth) The process in my case gave me very deep insight into dynamics and an analytical mind which came in handy e.g. for my current job as a very important skill.

So far this is what came to my mind, maybe others have other things to add as well. Stay strong! And it's such a Plutonian cliche, but... what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Ah, what Pluto transit(s) have you been going through that have been having this effect on you? Weight loss that happens during a particular transit I associate with difficult Pluto-Moon transits or Saturn in general.

I do get that people may try to look for any explanation/excuse for a negative transit or period in their life, however I would caution against thinking that you need a huge release, cleanse or whatever and that there is a "higher purpose" to your suffering.

I don't at all believe that we are here to suffer and have a life of going through hurdles and barely getting by. And any cleanse or release shouldn't take any more than a few days. Surrendering your power and life force is no way of living your life, either. We do need to be in control of our lives to be able to do more than just barely survive. If you are in a state of limbo about your life and are content or accepting of this you are probably going through a hard Neptune transit.
Note, when I say "you" I'm just speaking generally, rather than being personal.

Anyway, I did mean to generalise that nobody's life should have to suddenly turn upside down just because a hard transit started. That's ridiculous. But that's kind of a fact with Pluto coming into the 12th house, where it has no place to be in, unless you really have been an evil person prior and need to "pay back". But that would just be guessing and taking it a bit too out there.

Pluto in the 12th generally I have seen causes sudden great stress for a person (not usually associated with an actual or real stress event) and a feeling of being ungrounded which alters a normal person's experiences and facilitates negativity. There's definitely an increased sensitivity and in some cases reading situations and people on a much deeper level, than, quite honestly, needed. Because if, in the past, you were accustomed to optimism and positivity, you would know very well that sudden negativity in your life is uncalled for and would only create unnecessary blocks to even the most basic things in life. It just puts your body in constant panic mode for no reason, thus the sensitivity and overanalysing stuff you mention, which nobody has time for, quite frankly. A person could read others exceptionally well, and see through them and sense out dangers etc (like I did/do), quickly and without having to be put in a negative Pluto bubble where everything is suddenly distorted.
To conclude, these are all symptoms of a majorly overactive adrenal glands and being in a constant stress state, that seems to deepen as the planet moves through the psychological 12th house.

The cliche "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" practically usually translates into "what doesn't kill you makes you harder" which isn't great.

P.S. Sad to see only 1 person chimed in though, lol. Maybe there really is no-one else here with an Aquarius ascendant.

Hi outofideas, in my case, back around 2008 Pluto started to transit my natal 3rd house... which is packed with my North node-Uranus-Neptune and a few other asteroids. Pluto was touching the first 3 for a few times from 2011 until around 2016 - when I also felt its effect waning finally. Those years were hell, upheaval after upheaval, subconscious things and skeletons of the past falling out (about things I didn't communicate even to myself, but rather hid and buried deep inside right from my childhood - major throat chakra block), another after another. As if a dam would have been broken, I was drowning in the middle of the mix of pain, sorrow, tears, emotions, etc. It was really hard to roll with the punches. Even to these days, sometimes when I think back of this period of my life I seriously don't know how I survived.

Uranus and Neptune are conjunct in my chart, and also have sextiles - Uranus to Venus (Scorpio, 1st house) and Neptune to Pluto (also Scorpio, 1st house)
Both my personality and physical appearance have changed to the core, now I even have tattoos I dedicated to represent these years and all the things I've been through. Weight loss, hair color change back to my natural hair, wardrobe change.

At the same time, Saturn was also transiting my natal 1st from 2012 - adding to the weight loss theme c:

That sounds a bit too harsh for a Pluto 3rd house transit, but you might have been going through a minor Pluto-Moon or Neptune-Sun transit around the same time which caused this to be a difficult period for you.

Natal Neptune in the 3rd is no fun with regards to how you process things on a mental level and how you speak, so I'm not surprised Pluto entering the 3rd helped change your perspective and started opening your throat chakra. As long as it doesn't go to the extreme of paranoid and negative thinking. Not a fan of Uranus in the 3rd either. So definitely your mind is very activate. Sticking to common sense is very important.

With Uranus in my 3rd I can definitely tell I have a really hard time with those who cannot apply common sense and tend to be very indecisive and wishy-washy with communication. With me there is no beating around the bush anymore, if someone is hiding things (truths) from me (including themselves), then it's a "goodbye forever" from my side.

Another side effect in my case: Very quick and innovative thinking process to address any issues asap, and analytical mindset to look behind any "curtains" for more details. Looking beyond the surface
