Hello!

My solar return is fast approaching and I was hoping some of you guys could give me your insight as to what you see as themes for the upcoming year

I’d also love to see if you can compare last years solar return with this one.

Stand-alone solar return charts are meaningless. The solar return is a transit chart, as seen in the option at astro.com to place it on top of the birth chart. Everything needs reference to the birth chart to have meaning.
