Ok, so here's how I read all of that:

Your life has been difficult, a lot of trials and tripulation, and in my opinion it has to do with someone you're close to (since your question involved a love partner, it could be him it is refering to)
It seems that you've felt a lot of despair and sorrow with them and that things are a little stagnant (stalemate).
You've had a long journey of working things out but it's been a hard and long process. In the end however, if you continue to work hard, you will succeed. However, I don't think it'll be easy... From these I think something unexpected will happen between them. Might be related to the ongoing Mercury Rx, I wonder if this connection is very short lived. Hmm... In regards to the positioning of the 3 cards, the Knight of Cups is facing out of the spread which tells me the person (possibly the male) is going to exit the connection. On the card the Knight is drinking the content of the cup. I think he will decide not to waste the water (emotions) on someone not worthy, but instead replenish himself and concentrating on his own emotional well-being.
He is in a lush setting with a very nice and lush waterfall and what he is leaving behind looks barren. No emotions on the 7 of Swords, only strategizing and the person on the card is about to leap into a trap to be caught stealing... And on the 5 of Pents everything is snowy, frozen and cold - no warmth there to be found either...

Your reading feels very accurate. I'm indeed comfortable with being single, I've always felt myself as an independent woman who enjoys her own company and for me to be in a relationship with someone it has to be a significant thing. It doesn't mean that I don't wish to be in one, but I'd rather be single than to be with just anybody just to not be "alone". The feeling shut out part and reflecting on past love is also correct - an intense long-term relationship of mine ended about 2 months ago and I'm still managing the sorrow caused by my ex-partner, as his behaviour in this breakup was completely toxic, shameful and disloyal to the core of what I thought we had as the essence of our relationship... It's a lot to handle but I can surely say that it's already been much worse for me and day to day I'm getting to that point of putting this situation behind my back and feeling my vibrant and passionate energy again... I've been reflecting upon exactly what you said, if anything, this experience has taught me what I want and need in a relationship and, most importantly, what I should or not accept. My eyes are slowly engaging again with a horizon beyond this experience and I've certainly been working on and pushing myself to get to that point. Your reading motivates me even more so to continue on this journey.
