Sometimes I wish all these people hadn't come between us, but in the end I think that maybe all this is serving something good. Without all this, maybe it wouldn't be so precious. In fact, it would always be precious, but could I appreciate it?

You're very welcome. I understand what your saying, feeling. Unfortunately when people are attached to others and finally meet, fall in love or just show interest in outside individuals, often an unhealthy person may very much see the two as an extension of themselves and a threat when the new influence is brought in.
I do believe that's what's happening here.
No, no malicious intentions from ** towards you. I pulled 4 of cups. Very apathetic. This person truly doesn't want to see any flow to go, any emotions to grow between you with ____.

I feel an energy of "let's not dirty, or complicate our situation". Again, this person feels like and extension to ____. This is 1) codependent in an undertow fashion 2) this person might be narcissistic. Which if so, they need from their perspective, to control every microscopic detail, person and event.
