Is anyone else fascinated with Dragons? Nature can actually create fire through biological chemicals (there is a beetle that does this), so fire breathing "dinosaurs" would not be too big of a stretch. I find it difficult to believe they could fly, though (too much body mass). Many of us believe in fairies and other wee folk, but do you believe in Dragons? I do. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I have to confess to a fascination with dragons! It started with Tolkein, continued with Wagner's Ring Cycle and absolutely exploded with the whole Pendragon chain in Mists of Avalon. I suspect they exist on another realm - right alongside Avalon. Hopeful IP: Logged |

The so called Dragons would they be another name for Dinosaurs, since man was around at the same time? The Komodo Dragon is called "Dragon" but it is a large lizard.IP: Logged |

Dragons are interesting.Maybe the Atlanteans engineered them, along with unicorns-but they don't have to be big lumbering gargantuans,do they?Maybe they were a scaly, firebreathing bird that could fly.Maybe I'd like to meet one,if it promised not to torch me...maybe they're going to return someday? Hi Everyone I'm trying to remember a really cute story about a dragon that couldn't breathe flames -but it won't come to me.Now here's a thing. George..who "in theory" slayed the dragon is the Patron Saint of England. Now, very little is known about George......apparently he was not English and in fact I have a vague recollection of reading somewhere that he'd never even been to England - how daft is that considering he's our Patron Saint I'm with you on dragons Randall, after all "Puff The Magic Dragon" is real Sue IP: Logged |

Dragons are one of the mythological creatures that i am absolutely fascninated with, and they will return in the far distant future, but i dont think that they are good or bad, but more neutral of heart, what the humans do to them influences their actions.IP: Logged |

You know Unicorns and Mermaids are other great mythological creatures. I'm sorry but I do believe there real. Possibly the ancients would kill the Unicorns for there horns becuase it held some spiritual power and finally became extinct or some believe they left this dimension and went into the spirit world Mermaids could be real, who knows! -Starlover

Hey Starlover, regarding Unicorns and Mermaids, these were creatures that existed when we, as spiritual entities started manifesting in the physical realm, and had the ability to project ourselves into the material realm. Projecting into Flora and Fauna as well as the mineral kingdom, became so caught up with playing God that we became enmeshed in the physical and became separated from the Spiritual realm. These entities became known as the Sons of Man. Centaurs, Unicorns, Mermaids were the result...with various other appendages like cloven hooves, tails, scales, wings, four legs. There were also souls that hadn't become enmeshed and tried to aid these entities who lost their identity and awareness of their Spiritual background, these were known as the Sons of God.Hope it helps. Here is a mermaid for you. I found her lying on the beach of Lake Michigan the other day, and struck up a conversation with her. She told me she was a Pisces, and altho the water was really her home, she liked to come to shore from time to time, and catch a bit of the sun...only a tiny bit, for it would not be good for her to be there for too long. *sigh*... Maybe someday, I'll stumble upon a dragon... Luv, Rainbow~ IP: Logged |

I have a dragon tatoo. It's beautiful. I have to laugh at the shock on some faces when I decide to show it off. I'm wondering if it might be the cleavage and not the tatoo that gets them more. LOL. IP: Logged |

I love dragons, too. I am completely fascinated by them. I have a dragon friend. And, I know this sounds flaky, but I can see him. He helps me out a lot. For example, at my job, there are a few "good spots" then there's a whole parking lot a good walk away. As you could imagine, competition for the good spots is fierce. If I'm running late and I want one of those good spots I send him ahead to save it for me. I don't know how he does it, but most of the time when I get to work all the spots are filled...except one. Sometimes he'll scout the road ahead and tell me to take a different way home. He doesn't always tell me why, but I always listen. When I get scared at night, he guards the door. I'm getting the better end of this friendship -- I can't think of anything I really do for him at all. Well, I guess I do play with him As far as flesh and blood creatures. Yes, I firmly believe that dragons existed and will exist again. Along with unicorns, winged horses, centaurs, and the like. Mermaids still exist even now -- they're just too smart to let us know they're there. IP: Logged |

I think dragons were around long before the dinosaurs. I can see them being able to fly... look at the bumblebee - and some people thought that impossible. If we can imagine it, that alone makes it possible. In the words of Lee Carroll, from Alice In Wonderland: "There is no use trying," said Alice, "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." eternal IP: Logged |
