The Refrigerator, because if we didn't have this invention we would have to grow our food.

The internet - because otherwise I wouldn't have discovered and come to know the many beautiful, enlightened souls here at LindaLand.

The first great invention would probably be a toss-up between the printing press, penicillin, and refrigeration. But I'd have to say the greatest of all-time is the computer.

I would have to say animal husbandry and the coming of agriculture (planting vegetable and fruit crops) which took people out of the hunter-gatherer mode and made civilization (more or less) possible.

Disposable diapers! you wouldn't catch me using one of those cloth things! The radio, it was the begining of in home electrical entertainment, all though I suppose familys may have had a bit more communication with eachother before it, but they probably thought of new things to talk about, with all the new music and storys they were hearing, not to mention they got local news first hand this way. And one more is transportation, I would hate to walk from here to my sisters, or even ride a horse there, so many people died this way. I think transportation has been a life saver, to bad it's also very destructful to the enviroment. Ok.... one more thing (I keep poping out with ideas!) Steel, it is SO useful for things like bridges and apartment buildings, our countrys would be sooooo crammed without apartments, people would be making man made islands because there would be no more room, espesially in places like Asia or big North American citys. Alright, thats it!

Electric bulb - I used to think. It was the first use of the greatest discovery - Electricity. Infact after the invention of Electric bulb, Technology started progressing exponentially.

Some would say it is the Television - some say it is the worst invention(!). The Computer is certainly a great invention.

If you had asked me about a century ago, anybody would say it is the telegraph or the train - they were the greatest inventions during the period. Before the invention of petrol engines, railways were the chief means of transport. Infact the Train is the most primitive of modern inventions(!).

In today's world, it is difficult to say. I would say it is the mouse!
