I was wondering .... what exactly are the effects of Pluto in retrograde? And is he in Gem or Sag? I only know he's squaring Virgo from your other post, Sue.
(Boy, I can't wait to get started with the Astrology Course!)

Hi aquamoon
Pluto is currently is Sagittarius.

Pluto will "transform" the issues of which ever house in your chart he is transiting.
And as Pluto rules "the underworld" believe me he likes to "dig deep". It's his job
He will search and if he finds something thats "rotting" (wrong/not working) he will do more than just tap you on the shoulder nicely and say "hey what are you going to do about this".....he will "shove it" right in your face and say DEAL with it

Pluto transits should not really be looked at as bad - but yes they most certainly can be hard - especially if you have "anything rotting in your closet"!!

You can look at it in this way.....Pluto rules Scorpio. You may have heard that Scorpios can be a "Grey Lizard" or an "Eagle" (just to mention 2 descriptions). Sometimes Scorpio's have to hit "rock bottom" - go "inside themselves to look for answers" before they can then "Soar like an Eagle".

Hopefully that will give you a bit of insight as to how Pluto works.

Yes you're correct Pluto has been squaring Planets in Virgo. Now he's also been opposing planets in Gemini. So you need to look at which house in your chart Gemini rules. For Virgo Rising's this will be the 10th house. Now we have another situation for Virgo's.......Saturn is currently in Gemini so will be transiting Virgo's rising 10th house. The MC is an angle...so "ouch" ....these two planets have produced tough transits......
So Saturn in Gemini has also been squaring the Virgo stuff

Hope that explains thing's a little for you.
Sue

PS: Yes you will love the Astrology Course.

PPS: The effects of a planet in retrograde motion will mean that the issues to be resolved just don't seem to move forwards to a solution. Now it's direct, thing's should start to feel that they are slowly moving forwards. It takes a while for a planet to "pick up speed" from a retrograde position.

Sue, you make him sound adorable! DEAL with it!!
When you talk about stuff rotting in your cupboard, are you referring mainly to emotional issues? Issues that you would rather not face coz the truth is too hard to take and you'd just rather pretend it's not there? Hmmm. Then, I think Pluto and I should get on just fine.
I'm the kind who'll go crazy if I'm not allowed to face an emotional situation head on. My wanting to talk everything over when the other person just wasn't ready has gotten me into rather painful situations lately.
I have tonnes of planets in Gemini, actually. Venus, Mars and Jupiter. Saturn's conjuncting Venus and Jupiter at the moment. So Pluto's doing his thing too ha? And , yes, I have Merc in Virgo to top it all off!! Wow, my life sure is exciting!
Thank you, Cat, for taking the trouble to explain all that to me.

Hey Aquamoon
Yes I was meaning emotional stuff.

You made me when you said...
"My wanting to talk everything over when the other person just wasn't ready has gotten me into rather painful situations lately".

Pluto's in your 12th right? See how deep he's making you dig

"My wanting to talk everything over when the other person just wasn't ready has gotten me into rather painful situations lately".
^ Oh man do I remember learning that lesson. Pluto is playing with my 12th house too.

I have Venus and Neptune in Sag. IF I love you I'll tell you the truth. RIGHT NOW. Does it make you squirm when people ask for your honest opinion and ya know they can't handle it?

Pluto's challenges to my asc were killer but I think *fingers crossed* I'm through the worst. He's sitting on top of my venus, and my transiting venus is sitting on top of him at the moment. I'm just ready for him to go away *Makes scooting motions at Pluto*

Sue, YES, Pluto's in my 12th! You're amazing!!

Foxxy, I don't think Pluto would appreciate the gestures. Look at what he did to you when he was in a good mood, luv, I'd hate to see him mad!

Has anyone noticed a difference yet since Pluto went direct???????

I have

From December to April I was practically "stalking" this guy about doing some work together... Anyway he had various problems going on with his business and said "let's keep in touch". So I thought ok this is a no go...forget it. Even though he has always said how much he really, really wanted to work with me......

ANYWAY.......guess what.....
Today totally out of the blue, he emailed me...then called me.....
We have a meeting tomorrow....Yea!!!!
Come on Pluto...get a wiggle on
Sue

PS: It may turn out to be nothing....but at least it's something..if you get my meaning

12th house has all your hidden enemies right?
I can see things wiggling in there . . Which at least gives me an idea where and what I'm going to have to fight (1st house capricorn mars grins )
In late may/june there were a whole bunch of changes going on at work, they've been confuddling me because I haven't been able to manage a steady read, I think I've got a view now. As you say it may be nuthin' but at least its sumthin'
I've finally made a decision. I don't think I've made any since june. I've decided to go back to school if I get my store transfer, and to go abroad if I don't.
And I'm having nowhere near as much trouble deciding what I want to eat.

Hi Cat. Yes, I have noticed a difference since Pluto went direct but I do think I have had a lot of Pluto interaction. It being in Sag went right over my Sun my Venus my CHiron and my Ascendant. all between 15 SAG AND 27 SAG so it has really been in my life. I noticed when it went into Sag in late 95 I was finally ready to give up on a 20 year marriage and we split in 96. He would have been out sooner.I am a Scorpio moon so I think I went through Pluto there before the Sag. Pluto and I just know the best is a coming and we have gotten to know each other very well. Flame Pluto transits like what I have experienced are all about necessary change..change that even though it is hard, so very hard to go through, enables you to renew, regenerate and bloom again much happier and ready to be with the person you were meant to be with. What a journey!

Nah, its in my twelfth house.

With natal Venus and natal Neptune. Mucking about in my sub concious. At the moment its square my natal moon as well.

For a sun connection, the moon is transiting my natal sun.

Both aspects are very tight, sq. my moon by one degree, and just under two degrees for the transiting cnj. on my Sun.

Hey Foxxy
Yep I can relate to planets transiting your 12th and dreams......
I just had 4 planets transiting my 12th and boy was I having demented dreams...I'd wake up thinking "What was that all about!" (I have 4 planets natally in my 12th)

I just mentioned the Pluto sq Sun thing as it's been squaring my Sun for 3 million years....ok slight exaggeration - but it sure feels that long

But the last transiting planet got out of my 12th today....yea....
Mind you that was Mars and it's now in my 1st conjunct my Venus, Asc and Sun.....lol
I've renamed it the "don't mess with me transit"

If it makes ya feel beter its been square my moon for the same three million, major result was/is my best friend of five years (Would be six come this november) and I are currently on the outs. All the needs emotional stuff is being chewed up and I definitly realised that all she's been for nearly two years is a drain

Side stuff is my mother who I don't keep in contact with sent me a letter the day pluto went direct and 'freshened' up its square with my moon. .

For the most part this year has been one trine after another, which is good after the trouble the pluto/saturn opposition triggered for me all through last year (BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!! And BLAH! :P)

*G*
Pluto is going to be in my 12th well another long while. And then for a few years its going to take me to pieces, my asc 22'sag, my mercury at 3' cap, my sun at 5' cap, and a reprieve before it hits mars at 27' .. cap.

Of course, it'll be trining my libra/ninth house stuff so hopefully *crosses fingers and toes and wonders how long she can hold it* it won't be all bad.

*shrug* Such is life though right?

Hi Everyone,
I hope nobody minds me jumping in here, but I found this thread interesting.

I know Pluto has been messing with my whole family, and hopefully after the Astrology Course here I'll be able to understand a hell of a lot more.

Lindy Wren has given me the dates for hubby and myself, but naturally this has opened up a mountain of questions for my inquiring ( & frightened !!! ) brain.

I think we have a rest until Jan 04 but I'm not 100 % on that. Just knowing that it has gone direct answers a few questions in it self.

Pluto certainly has my full attention for a fair while to come, I only hope that I pass without too many bruises. Luckily I'm fairly optimistic or have been up until this far in life, so I wish us all luck, caus no doubt we're going to need it

Any info would is appreciated.
