Hi Everyone I know that this weekend is Labour Day Weekend in American - so you're all having a holiday. We don't celebrate that here in England but I hope you're all having a great weekend. So....what do you do? Are there any special celebrations? Sue IP: Logged |

My holiday was spent taking care of accident victims of too much alcohol!!! It was a crazy night for us!! But we managed to squeeze in a pot luck dinner for all the late swing employees, which turned out great! We even had 4 different kinds of chocolate cheese cakes!!!! Yumm!!! Doesn't that sound yummy Randall??? ------------------ Hugs,LTD ~~The struggle keeps us young~~Daring to make mistakes and knowing there are none.~~DGM IP: Logged |

Hey SueI had cheesecake for dessert Saturday night And, that huge chocolate birthday cake Sunday afternoon! Yep, Labor Day is special but we're so lazy over here, we leave out the u in labor. Of course, by the time Sunday night rolled around we needed another dessert so my daughter went out to the yard and picked some limes and made Key Lime Pie! Ummm, Yum http://www.blondgiraffe.com/keylimepie.html which is kind of a Florida thing. I suppose if you're really interested in a Labour Day national holiday there you could send over some representatives and we could show you how to guilt trip your government into declaring a national holiday! How about calling it Workers Appreciation Day? That way if Parliament balks, you can picket them with signs; "Parliament hates British Workers" and call in the British Press!
