Hopeful posted a wonderful idea in the "Spells and Rituals" forum to make a special prayer string!
-I hope this can grow into something beautiful!
-Please feel free to add any prayers from each religion and even your own personal blessings!

-This is one of my favorite prayers from Linda Goodman Star Signs.
-said by Francis Assisi

Lord make me an instrument of your Peace.
where there is hatred, let me show love.
where there is injury, let me give pardon.
where there is doubt, let me have faith...
where there is darkness, let me spread Light.
where there is sadness, help me find Joy!
Grant that I may not so much seek...to be understood
as to understand
to be loved...as to love
then...miracle shall follow miracle
and wonders shall never cease.

St. Francis is one of my fave's Starlover!

Here is one I found in one of Francesca de Grandis' Goddess books. I like it because it reminds me I am never alone...

THE LAWS OF NATURE

I know the Laws of Nature are you, Lady.
Keep me mindful that I step upon your body,
with your feet,
that my sorrows are your sorrows,
and that a healthy pries(ess) makes all things sound.
I feel your breath in the wind, and your hand in mine.
Keep me sincere.
Give me your work,
which is to be joyous and to tend all things,
because all things live,
of themselves,
and with your spirit.
Your will through mine, so mote it be.

My friend Rainbow doesn't post here anymore. So on her behalf I would like to contribute the following:

Chief YellowHawk's Prayer

O Great Spirit, Whose voice I hear in the winds,
and whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear me, I come before you, one of your children.
I am small and weak. I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made,
my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may know the things you
have taught my people,
the lesson you have hidden in every leaf and rock.
I seek strength not to be superior to my brothers,
but to be able to fight my greatest enemy, myself.
Make me ever ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes,
so when life fades as a fading sunset,
my spirit may come to you without shame.

Chief YellowHawk

In love and light,
Freedom

I read today if we repeat the mantra
"I am grateful for everything, I have no complaints"
it helps a whole lot in life and accepting things and being one who sees the glass as half full (which is alot more fun that seeing the glass as half empty)
so I have been doing it all day, and at times when I would have been complaining, I shut my mouth and realized, hey, I am very lucky, I have nothing to complain about. try it!!

I posted this song in Free for All, but is seems to fit this string as well. It is by Celine Dion:

"Prayer"

Can we touch the soul of heaven
Can we unite a sacred lesson
Every child creates a skylight of beauty
Can you hear cathedrals falling
All the universe is calling
Cry a single cello from your heart
Since the world has lost her way
Loneliness journey endlessly
Yet the promised chance remains
Gifts of what could be
So let the children remember the sun
Let them dance let them soar
For their lives have begun
Let the children engender the rain
As the river runs through fields
Forever subsiding their pain
Prayer
Every voice along the shoreline
Standing still within time
Spinning unresolved the walking
As each season passes
Through wonderland and looking glasses
The secret garden shires beckon's you
Gentle flower, don't fade away
Sweet innocence they're harvesting
In the faith of golden dreams
Where one love lives eternally
Let the children remember the sun
Let them dance let them soar
For their lives have begun
Let the children engender the rain
As the river runs through fields
Forever subsiding their pain
Prayer
Prayer
Prayer
Let the children bring the light
They are the truth of spirit in flight
Yes the children engender the rain
As the river runs through life
Healing their pain
You can trust with your heart but for time
Sweet angels, conceive you have
Forever and always believed Prayer
Prayer
Prayer

Let us be united;
Let us speak in harmony;
Let our minds apprehend alike.
Common be our prayer;
Common be the end of our assembly;
Common be our resolution;
Common be our deliberations.
Alike be our feelings;
Unified be our hearts;
Common be our intentions;
Perfect be our unity.
