Do you consider yourself to be lucky, unlucky or "none of the above" I just read the following on Jonathon Cainers website........ Apparently, a top team of university academics have been busily investigating ‘luck’. They have looked closely at the lives of 400 exceptionally lucky and unlucky people. Here’s what they found. Those who lead ‘charmed lives’ tend to follow four basic principles in the way they think. 1) They maximise opportunities. 2) They act on gut feelings. 3) They EXPECT good fortune. 4) They believe it is possible to turn bad luck into good luck. In other words, they are all strongly following the ‘Jupiter impulse’ in their birth charts. We all have access to this. Sue

Hi Juniperb Jupiter is considered to be the planet of luck (amongst other things).Check your chart to see where your natal Jupiter is and also which house it rules. eg:Sagittarius (Jupiter)is my 4th house ruler. Someone with Sag ruling the 4th which = home, can make profit with their home. This can show up by when you buy and sell your house - making a good profit on the sale. I personally find that to be true I am definately lucky in that area. Sue IP: Logged |

Cat, those people in that survey just appear lucky, but in my opinion it is their positive attitude that is attracting the abundance (luck) in the first place. What you think about, you attract into your experience. It's a natural law. IP: Logged |

hey Cat,I do consider myself lucky.. and I have been such throughout my life. I always expect something good to happen rather then something bad. Whenever something bad happens - I always act out on my gut feelings and always know how to solve the problem ... oh, by the way - Jupiter rules my 10th house (the house of one`s destiny) and is trine at 0 degree my Sun and my ASC... lucky me but for me, the most important thing is to believe IP: Logged |

Hey, We are onto something. What do we mean by luck? To me, it is winning the first prize in lottery - that I consider to be a boring. Probability theory states that you would have to buy half of the average population tickets, before you hit the first prize. To me, before that I would become many times wealthy with other means. If mathematics is not going to help, we would have to look into paranormal, I never thought of it. Luck can be pursued in leisure - according to me. Yet I found very amusing explanations of what luck means in some people - for example, some students say if they got full marks in their tests they are "lucky". What does that mean? Do they mean they don't believe in their abilities, or they managed to bribe the one valuing the answer papers successfully? To some telling they are lucky is a substitute for lies. It is better than saying they found an efficient form of cheating the examiner. Yet I have lots of doubts regarding their common sense. If you support your prolonged absence in the classes and your good scores with such paranormal explanations - I have seen only a few people doing it.IP: Logged |

Cat, thanks for explaining Jupiter. I found Jupiter in Taurus in my 4th house. Which is the best web site to bookmark that tells what the houses represent? I noticed I had no-one in my 11 or 12th house but a very busy 1st, 2nd & 9th house. (on a Tropical Placidus chart). juniperb IP: Logged |

You don't read carefully theFajita. I said pursuing Luck is boring. The truth is Luck cannot be chased to get it. It has to be welcomed with open arms as you said it. I was sitting in the gambling house with yells of laughter, patting in each other's shoulder as the mad men, thought what was each other's extraordinary luck that is making them millionaires - gathered around the roulette.
The skinny figure, probably very old, though there was nothing in him that symbolised being old man, entered the hall and stepped towards the roulette wheel. I knew him. He knew me. Possibly, he didn't need to see me, to know I was there. Most of the people were drunk. So when he started making bids, after watching the roulette wheel absent mindedly for nearly half an hour, there was lots of encouragement. He lost nearly everytime. Once he hit a 10$. Later almost everytime he was losing and his "earnings" were meagre. Then someone got this idea. "What you know, skinny old man? I would bet 10,000$ on your head - if you hit the right score this time!" followed by a mad laughter that the rest joined. I was standing far away, and I was not seeing the wheel or the skinny man, as the huge crowd around it obstructed my view. I didn't know what he said. Slowly, others started to make bids. The skinny man still kept losing, yet what seemed to be like a lunatic persistence. By now, most people got convinced he was some kind of lunatic - so others let him make the bid. I was wondering, did they realize they would become paupers, if he went right just once. They probably didn't. For one thing, they were drunk. "Look skinny, you win this time, and you become multi-millionaire..." one man said teasingly. He meant it, and he didn't have the slightest idea what it meant to him. Skinny did become multi-millionaire. He quietly collected the cash. I thought I could know him. Our eyes met for a brief moment. I thought I could approach and share a few words. He must be having other errands. He didn't stop. He walked out and into the road. I was watching. IP: Logged |

Hi all!The 4th house rules the home and all things related to home such as where you feel secure and safe. Taurus generally likes comfort and luxury and with Jupiter there you probably like to make your home a very comfortable place with an abundance of luxuries. Your home is a positive inviting place where others feel welcome. You might tend to overindulge a bit whenit comes to spending on your home. This is just a quick, general interpretation. Sue, I have jupiter in my 1st house in aquarius. I am a very positive person and I do not get depressed easily (despite my cancer sun and scorpio moon!). I am quite lucky as I often win competitions but I'm still trying for the lottery! Love & light IP: Logged |

Jupiter factor - I would term it. We have a poet in India. He wrote a few Jupiter poems - as I would call them. In the blackness of a crow, I see you. In the green of trees, I see your color. In the sounds I hear, I hear you. When I touch fire, I feel the pleasure of touching you.
The poem is on God. Typical Jupiter idealism. IP: Logged |

Hi Everyone This is an excellent astrology site... http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/TOClessons.htm You'll find a lot of info. For Jupiter in your chart look at Jupiter in the signs, house and don't forget to look at the house that Jupiter is ruling in your chart (ie: which house has Sagittarius as its cusp ruler.
