Here's our latest news today BLAIR FORECASTS UK TERROR ATTACK TONY Blair has warned that it is inevitable terrorists will try to launch some kind of terror strike against Britain. "I believe it is inevitable that they will try in some form or other," Mr Blair told MPs in a lengthy session that focused on terror and on possible military action against Iraq. "I think we can see evidence from the recent arrests that the terrorist network is here as it is around the rest of Europe, around the rest of the world," he said. Police raided a London mosque on Monday in Britain's biggest anti-terror operation since September 11. Seven men were arrested during the raid, which was part of a wider probe into the discovery of the lethal poison ricin. It was the most dramatic in a series of counter-terrorism swoops in recent months, with the pace quickening after the discovery earlier this month of a small amount of ricin in a flat in north London. Britain has arrested more than 200 terror suspects since the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington for which Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network is blamed, with most of those detained said to be north African and mainly Algerian. The Prime Minister also admitted there was only so much that could be done to counter the threat. He said the health service was as well equipped as it could be to deal with a terror attack and hundreds of millions of pounds were being spent on vaccines, on protective clothing and on new intelligence and security measures. But he added: "We could spend billions of pounds doing it, we could spend tens of billions of pounds... and we could still not identify where the attack actually is going to come from. "There are no limits to the potential threats which you could imagine." IP: Logged |

Hmm I am wondering how this year will go. Astrologically it certainly has some changes. Saturn finally (yea!!!!) leaves Gemini in June. Jupiter moves into Virgo...which is for me being a Virgo. Uranus also changes signs this year moving from Aquarius into Pisces. Now here's something that I think is interesting......In March, Uranus (Aquarius's ruler) moves into Pisces (ruled by Neptune). Neptune is currently in Aquarius (Uranus's ruler). So the planets are in each other's sign - which would give a mutal reception. How do you think this mutal reception could work? In chinese astrology we are just coming to the end of the Fire Horse - that is always a very turbulent/difficult year according to the Chinese. 1st Feb is Chinese New Year and we will move into the Year of the Goat - which is supposed to be a much better year. What're everyone's thoughts? Sue IP: Logged |

Ah, but I couldn't help but see this one--TONY BLAIR= NOT A LIAR Sue, I just want to say that I, speaking for myself, as one single American, simply appreciate Tony Blair. I don't know how most of his countrymen feel, but I like him. Now, onto the Mutual Reception, which is really interesting. You have quickness and mystery visiting each other. I think there is a lot of things going on behind the scenes, occuring rather quickly and some of it may be misperceptions in humanitarian ideals. Then again, the leaders may have advisors giving them illusory guidance based on their own particular ideals. I wish everyone in the UK safety, as well as in the rest of the World!! Donna, you are right, his name with NO & NOT in it should also have been considered. But yet again, I couldn't help seeing...TONY BLAIR = NO BRAIN There's no doubt in my mind that the British public will let him know what they think of him at the next General Election. Lindaland is too special a place for me to be expressing my opinion of Tony Blair here, so I'll refrain from it. I just wish so much that we didn't have such subjects here in Lindaland as war, Tony Blair, terrorism, George Bush, etc. ... but I guess it's the world today. And may I join you in your wish of safety to everyone in the world. I still dare dream the invasion of Iraq can be avoided! IP: Logged |

Hi Donna Thanks for your post. I agree, don't think he is a liar and he obviously is a man with very strong opinions - which he doesn't budge from. Hmm that is obviously causing him a lot of problems at the moment, he is rapidly losing support from his own party. Maybe he's under some "Neptune" confusion - but who knows. One thing's for sure, aside from everything else, Tony Blair needs to see a positive solution to the Iraq situation because without it his political career is seriously in jeopody. Sue Hi Miracle So I guess you don't like Tony Blair IP: Logged |
