My brain has been turning this over for a while now, and I recall there being a thread about Melchizedek somewhere, but I can't seem to find it now...

At any rate, I was reading some coursework and I came upon a passage that spoke about Melchizedek.

7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

The teacher that wrote the material states:

"The words 'after the order of Melchizedek' are by no means a reference to a secret order of priesthood "on the higher planes". The Hebrew and Greek words 'after the order of' when translated, literally mean, 'like unto, similar to, having like properties or qualities'. Often some pseudo-occultist tells his followers wondrous tales about the supposed 'Order of Melchizedek'. There have appeared many 'Heads' or 'Messengers' of the 'only genuine Order of Melchizedek', with tales of high initiation in caves, in remote mountain retreats, in all manner of Arabian Nights' surroundings...

"... When one hears the Inner Voice, through the activity of the "parentless", subtle, metaphysical sound vibration, one is freed from all sense of being a mortal and having earthly parents and genealogy. One knows that the I AM really is...the timeless, eternal, immortal SELF, having neither beginning nor end."

This is not to imply that any of the so-called Orders of Melchizedek working in the world are not genuinely interested in Spiritual growth and development, but I think this helps to clarify what is meant by the term "after the order of Melchizedek".

So many Seekers are drawn to mystical orders that tout their connection to the "One True and Only Original BLAH BLAH Blah" that one must beware of being led down the proverbial Garden Path.

Just thought that was an interesting perspective to share on the "Order of Melchizedek"... hope it helps. I know it has certainly provided a lot of food for thought for this Seeker.

then again, when one doesn't truly 'know' by virtue of "direct experience", one can only offer the benefit of the doubt. there are many things that we don't know about in this way...there are only things we can talk and wonder and philosophize about and puzzle over.

one cannot discount the reality of occult experiences in the same manner that one cannot refute what all great world teachers speak about mystical knowledge of all things.

in any case, mysticism is a worthier pursuit than occultism.

A Male's chi (Sexual force or the oil that lights the lamp/lam-b) is channeled and depleted thru his penis.

When Christ joined this order of priesthood, he understood the male sexual fluid and how it activates the light body (astral body); known as the light of the lamp (lamb or soul), and began to contain and store his oil (sexual fluid).
