This showed up in my mailbox today and I found it quite interesting and thought I would share it with you all:

"And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." Luke 21:25-27

If we were looking for signs of the 2nd coming (and by the way, I am not one of those "Christian and Bible Stupids" mentioned in another thread LOL! I consider myself more of an agnostic) what would we be looking for in a chart? Eclipses? Conjunctions? Configurations?

This may be a question for some of our more advanced astrologers out there, but I would love to hear what you have to say. I have been told that there are all kinds of hidden astrological and metaphysical messages in the bible.

Suggestions anyone?

Love and Light,

Heidi

PS ... This probably should have gone under Astrology, sorry folks if it is the wrong forum. I wasn't quite sure where it belonged.

Hi Heidi
No problem - I think it's actually a bit of both. I'll post a link to this string over on the astrology forum so that nobody misses it.

Wow, now that's an interesting question. To be honest, I don't think this would show up in as a "normal" astrological event. The Second Coming of Christ would supercede what we consider normal on Earth. I would think, if this ever did happen, that the event would be of such a magnitude that no one could deny it. Perhaps a twin Earth would show up or another Sun. Perhaps the Moon would be gone or totally change position.

I just don't think an event of this proportion (as described in your posting) would show up in eclipses, conjunctions or configurations. Comets were always considered omens (good or bad) and certainly some say the Star of Bethlehem may have been a comet.

Any other thoughts?

Maria

There's a Christmas song that speaks of the Bethlehem star having "a tail as long as a kite."

But I don't think even comets would be beyond the scope of astrological transits. Surely there must be some sort of indication.
Aspects involving Mars, Uranus and Pluto?
Planets in certain elements?

I have read articles by astrologers who are very good at predicting earthquakes. Why couldn't we predict the 2nd Coming of Jesus?

He had a natal chart. Why wouldn't there be a chart for his return? Has anyone looked at Revelations to see if there is not some clue hidden that indicates his return for those who KNOW how to read beyond the literal meaning of the Bible? (Please note that I am choosing my words very carefully here as not to offend anyone.)

Much Love,

Heidi

Maybe we would see an asteroid or comet hit or nearly hit the Earth. That would wreak havoc with the oceans, causing tidal waves. Also, it's unproven, but I learned in an Interplanetary Geology elective once, that scientists speculate there might be a dark star on a huge orbit around Sol (our Sun), and call it "Nemesis".

Shiver, creeeeepy!!! Good thing we all believe in immortality...

I've been reading a pamphlet type book about the visits in Lourdes etc. by the Virgin Mary and there is to be 3 signs firstly 'the warning' that comes inside each of us individually in our time when we truly see ourselves for who we are and understand our sins as that which denies the God in us, then from this will come together and see 'the miracle'. apparently people will come from afar to a little town in france to see this miracle and it will be televised fro the world to see it also. This is the sign from God that the time is near to change and accept love into our hearts... This I believe will manifest as a great light, since Light is the source of Love so what kind astrological influence could create such a light that would bring people in from all across the world to a town in France? BTW is anyone starting to think that perhaps Bethlehem is another name for a town in france. I need to find the book and see what it's really called.

Quinnie,

Let's remember that God created the planets and stars and astrology. Why would we need an astrological event to define the miracle. By it's very definition, a miracle is something outside of what we would expect. It defies explanation. There is NO rational reason that we understand. I think God (and I'm not defining God for anyone) could manifest a miracle without any corresponding astrological event. Look at the universe

I beleive that God made the stars and the planets and our bodies and everything that matters. I owe to him my wonderful experience in life as an Aquarian.
