Lots of yellow to represent the sun. I used my Cernunnos bowl because this solstice is very much a god oriented holiday. I made the Sun altar cloth last night. It's shaped like a sun and I stitched it with red thread There are flowers and butterflies in the design of the fabric I used. Hanging above the alter is a little candle holder with a sun on it and a red candle inside. To the left on the altar I have green stones that are important to the holiday: emerald, jade, etc. Inside the bowl I placed a bit of mugwort that a dear friend grew for me! I'll burn it on the solstice in the incense burner.

How many times a year do you change your alter? Is it 4 - one for each season? Sorry if I'm being a bit ignorant. Sue IP: Logged |

She probably changes it for every Pagan holiday (8 of them). http://www.witchvox.com/xholidays.html ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Yes Randall's correct 8 times a year! I considered doing full moons, too, but I only considered that for about 2 seconds!! That's just way too much changing around and I'd go NUTS!

Wych,I dreamed of your apt. last night. Do you have anything brown/tan hanging on a wall with bold black hieroglyphic type lettering? (not really hieroglyphs, but the only word I can think of right now) juniperb IP: Logged |
