and what a relief. I went to the Azores islands to see my family, and as beautiful and as tropical as the island was there is no place like home. After three weeks of drinking countless lattes, counting up Euro change left and right, and dealing with bumpy airplane rides, I finally headed back to my wonderful land in Boston. I feel like the luckiest girl in the entire world. The trip made me realize how wonderful my life at home is. The region where I was living in was very poor. It was an extremely rural island, and even though I disliked it greatly, I thank my lucky stars for going becuase it made me realize that life in the USA is an awesome thing. To be an American or to live in any rich civilized country is the greatest gift that God could ever give you, and all you need to do, is be aware of that, and realize how lucky you really are. Be thankful for the men and women who work with their blood, sweat, and tears in their professions to make our living standards comfortable and advanced. Be highly thankful for our amazing cities, don't shun them, or run away from them if your sick of city, get away for awhile, and then come back to realize how wonderful they are. Be thankful for what you have, use the countless oppurtunities that this country has to offer. Be totally greatful for Capitalism, because a government can only give so much to the poor, but in the end the poor must be responsible for themselves. Don't ever be lazy or complacent (never retire from working and living) it's a subtle poison that will kill you. Thank god I'm finally back home! -StarLover IP: Logged |

Welcome back from me too, Starlover.. sorry I am not on this forum alot.....Yes!! Randall is being modest! Lots happened..... LindaLand got a haircut.. What do you think? Too much? I asked them not to thin it out too much, and keep the layers, but you know those hairdressers!!! Snip Snip! Now LindaLand has bangs. (Tres Chic!!!!) LindaLand also got a new pair of shoes and some throwpillows for comfort. LindaLand read about forty books while you were gone, all together... very good reads! She almost separated from her love, but you know LindaLand, she keeps truckin'. Her phone never stops ringing.. and those bills.. you know, keep piling up... did LindaLand tell you what happened to the neighbour? Long story, and you know, it's not like me to talk about these things....*ssshhhh...* Don't say you heard it from me!! They are charging an arm and a leg now for contract work... don't get me started on that plumber!!!!! *gesticulates like an irate matronly aunt* Oh Gawwwd, Darling... the things I could tell you about LindaLand. But really.. not much went on. And how about for you? IP: Logged |

PixelPixie Well Randall, after long thought and contemplation, I decided that a good road for me is to study Business Management in college, and to attend a small university in Boston. You never know. I have a long time to think about it. Other than that, not much has changed.

Good, then you might learn to mind your own business. *cymbals clash* Just joking. Okay, so I won't give up my day and night job for stand-up comedy. My Psychology teacher, who knows a lot about metaphysical healing, is a Capricorn (January 15) who would tell us the lamest jokes on the planet. It was still funny though, he had a Tarzan and a Cookie Monster impression. Trust me, it's a Capricorn thing. -StarLover IP: Logged |
