I think that the magical thing about 'Amelie' is she is suddenly, out of the blue, by discovering a boy's lost hidden treasure box.....inspired TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. To reach out and help people. Every little makes a difference; will trigger even MORE changes. "Faith can move mountains". (You must see the film "Pay It Forward"- it has this theme and I think it's an amazing film).

I think it was nice that she felt protective towards Lucien, the boy on the market, though 'gas-lighting' of course is not a desirable method to use- I remember thinking that when I saw it. Anyway, I didn't bother myself over that too much because I liked the film as a whole.

I too am looking forward to seeing 'The Da Vinci Code'.
