hey guys,i finally came up with a draft for my questionnaire..
here it is...
please feel free to suggest any changes, and anyone wants to throw in a few more questions, they're welcome!

_____________________________________________
Demographic information:
Date of Birth:
Your moon sign (if known with accuracy)
Your ascendant (if known with accuracy):
Gender:
 Male
 Female
________________________________________________________________________

Rate on a scale of 1-3 the following:
 Love
 Money
 Family

2. What type of work are you attracted to?
a) A job that gives you an opportunity to lead others in some way
b) A job that gives you an opportunity to organize everything around you
c) A job that gives you an opportunity to communicate with people

3. Your first priority in choosing a profession would be:

a) The creative scope it offers
b) The practical and financial rewards it represents
c) Whether or not it matches your temperament

4. You are more likely to be attracted to a job that:
a) Is mentally stimulating
b) Is physically not demanding
c) Has a nice work environment
d) Allows you to experiment with your own ideas

5. Why is money important to you?

a) It represents security
b) It represents luxury
c) It's not important
d) It's a necessary evil

6. What are the qualities that would attract you towards a man/woman?
a) Steadiness and dependability
b) Intelligence
c) Beauty
d) All of the above

7. Suppose you fall in love with someone your family thinks is totally wrong for you; you are more likely to:

a) Sacrifice your love for your family because your family is sacred to you
b) Listen to what they have to say, but in the final analysis do what you feel is right
c) Once you’ve made up your mind about someone, nothing in heaven or hell can move you into changing your decision
d) Pretend to give in to your family’s wishes, but continue your relationship secretly

8. Your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse calls you to say he/she won't be able to meet you for lunch because he/she has to work. What do you do?
a) You accept what he/she says without question because you sense he’s telling the truth
b) You call his/her office at least three times to make sure his excuse is holding up
c) You appreciate his hard working attitude so you wait patiently for him

9. Your beloved happens to remark that he/she likes your best friend's new hairstyle, how do you react?
a) You don't
b) You angrily accuse him/her of having an affair with her/him
c) You don't react now, but refuse to answer his/her phone calls for the next seven days
d) You didn't notice, you were too busy flirting with his/her best friend

10. If you had to take a stand on legalising abortion, what would your stand be?
a) Strongly against it
b) Strongly for it
c) Well, to look at one side of it, it is in a way killing of small souls. On the other hand, isn’t the fetus like unto a robot, so it can function like a human, but is not really human. To look at it in another way, no one should tell women what to do with their bodies, but then again,is it really fair to legalise what may be viewed by many as murder?

11. What type of music do you like to listen to?
a) Music with heavy drum beats like rock, etc
b) Soft music such as ballads, etc
c) Others (please specify)

12. You find out that your neighbour, Mr. X is spreading malicious rumours about you, how do you react?
a) You are so outraged that you trot over to your neighbour's house and make sure they get a piece of your mind
b) You shrug, figure its their right to do whatever they want -- you belong to yourself, what they say won't change what you are
c) You stay awake at night trying to figure out how to change your neighbour's opinion of you
d) You say nothing, but next time you run into your neighbour's girlfriend, you 'innocently' mention seeing him with another girl on quite a few occasions

13. You have an appointment with a dentist, what are you more likely to do?
a) Turn up exactly on time
b) Turn up late
c) Forget about the appointment all together

p.s. 1. i edited this post and gave the options letters instead of boxes cuz i figured that way it would be easier for everyone
p.s. 2. it would be easier for me if you guys gave me your birth dates like this:
29th January,1984 (my birthdate),cuz some people use the dd/mm/yy format, while others use mm/dd/yy,so it gets really confusing and i end up wondering what's happening
thanks everyone!

On question number 4 you have the mental and the physical covered but how about emotional? I know one of the most important things that I consider when I look at a job is whether it will be emotionally upsetting to me or not.

Looks like a good questionare to me

How about ... Emotionally fulfilling?
I wondered the same thing when I came to that question. I think you've done a really good job on that questionnaire, though.

Edit
I was wondering, you have mental (air), physical (fire), emotional (water) ... so why not add an earth element, something like "financial stability" or something like that? I know plenty of people who work in a field/job/career that they really don't like just because of the money. I'm not talking about in-between jobs or down on your luck jobs or making ends meet jobs. I mean people who ... oh, there's this girl I know who would love nothing more than to open her own retail store/chain but instead is studying for a career in radiology (or ultrasound can't remember) just because it makes more money and she'll "never get rich in retail." You know? Money is a big factor for many people, sometimes trumping all others.

I think those 13 questions are good, not to mention that 13 is a really cool number. I'd really have to look it over a few more times to see if there is anything that I'd put in that you haven't, though, again, I think you've done a great job. I'll get back to you when I've got a little more time on my hands.
I was wondering however ... I don't know exactly how you're going to calculate your results (obviously I don't know your system, etc) but would 13 questions give you enough range for assessing what you're after? I'm just curious is all.

hi Gooober, for each question you can provide an "other" option to account for the other characteristics not listed

would your professor be asking what kind of website you will obtain participants for your questionaire? how you would conduct your questionaire? e.g. do the participants know the purpose of the questionaire; are the results interpreted without knowing the participants sun, moon signs to prevent possible bias

i'm just concern for you that he may argue that the questionaire is bias
- if the participants were from an astrology website
- if participants know the purpose of the questionaire and thus may be influenced to answer in a manner that is more like their sun sign than they normally do (even if this were not the case, he'll most likely think it if he's a scientific type)

just some points to consider if he tries to catch you off guard

keep us updated on how's things going

i'll answer ice mists' question now,cuz eleanore's will take more time

actually,my prof approved the questionnaire,
he seemed to think it was pretty good
and i also told him that i'm posting it on a website where people simply love astrology, and have at least a basic knowledge of it,so no probs there
as for your suggestion about adding the last option,i think i'll do that tonight thanks!

love n peace

I was just wondering ... in regards to question number 10, is it likely that some signs are more inclined to be for or against abortion? I'm just curious as to why "strongly for it" and "strongly against it" are options. I've never noticed if there was a propensity for one sign/modality/element to be that specific regarding an issue like this. I was thinking ... seeing as how option (c) is one of indecision/over analysis if it wouldn't be better to have (a) be something like "you have strong feelings for or against it and are likely to argue about it with others" and (b) be something like "the issue is not too important to you; you do feel certain that it's right/wrong but you aren't about to enter into an argument about it". You know, like air signs being undecisive and/or analytical, fire signs being very passionate and ready to fight, and earth and water signs more likely to make up their own minds but generally keep it to themselves.
Didn't mean this to be such a long post, sorry. I just wondered how your options (a) and (b) tied into someone's astrological profile, you know?

PS Are we supposed to be responding yet?
