trusting the laws of science
hoping prayers or progress
will offer some resolution.
Such varied paths we take
in our quest for answers
to the questions we've become.
And in the end ...
well, it never really ends, does it?
But that's the glory of the quest.
And the highest honor
is to laugh at the void and say,
We endure. We are here.
The Path is its own reward.

hi peajie,i saw the reading list and find it interesting. i would read some books from it. a side thought if i may share; i find that the more i delve and understand these concepts, the less and less in touch i am with people around me who aren't into this stuff. i didn't think that to understand things better and gain further maturity, also meant an emotional and intellectual distance from regular folk. i don't mean to come off as arrogant. if we were sitting down in person, my intontation would be that of questions, uncertainty and wondering. k, talk to ya later. aphrodite IP: Logged |

A very good comment and astute observation Aphrodite.After a life time on this journey I have found it was like climbing a pyramid.
Now I look around and find there is nobody there to talk to, or to share with. It is a hard lesson to learn the answers to so much mystery, when people around me do not even know the questions. Which is especially problematic for an Aquarian who lives in his head anyway.
Now I have to discover a way to climb back down to try and find somebody to touch. IP: Logged |

Youve read my mind......or feelings, Aphrodite and peajie. Theyve been especially strong over the past two weeks. I dont feel I can connect with anyone anymore. It's a lonely and somewhat unsettling feeling. When I'm with people, it feels fake....strained. Not that I'm being fake, but I dont have much to say to the average person. If I said most of the things that were on my mind, they wouldnt get it or would think I was crazy. Sometimes I try to but the conversation doesnt go too far. We're usually just on completely different pages.......and I'd rather be hanging out with myself - which I'm comfortable with and it's less draining. I dont mind being alone, but sometimes it gets to be too much and I crave some meaningful contact with someone, you know? As time goes by, most people feel more and more foreign to me. Or I have nothing in common with them, thus nothing to talk about.
But then, I guess we have something to learn from everyone, and they are reflecting us back to us.......?......It's up to us to change our view of things and to love ourself first and foremost. It really does start with us......Still....makes me kind of sad. And I wonder if or when it will get better.........sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy. We arent supposed to feel or.... be so alone as humans are we? Even those of us who want and try to stay true to ourselves and our paths.........? ...it's a lonely road sometimes.Love to you guys. Each of us does live in our own self-created world, even when we think we don't. The world we know is only the one our own 5 sense perceptors allow us to know !
And most people will happily tell you that you are wrong, whatever you say you believe. I think the idea of Mastery is to gain that degree of self reliance where we can operate fully and happily without any need for others.
THEN we find we become of more use to others,
and paradoxically we start to understand that there is nobody else out-there except a reflection of our-Self.

I find it hard to believe now that not so long ago I could indentify with what you guys are feeling........ ....and now I feel the connection with others so strong and easy......life seems more of a breeze, for want of a better word...... ....so friends, dont lose heart.....it may change......now where did I put that magic wand......   love to all

Wise words peajie. I have often thought very similar ones myself. I think you are absolutely right. Seems like sometimes, 'the more I know, the less I understand'. But I think alot of it comes down to understanding that life and everything in it, really is a paradox. As soon as I start thinking one thing, or think I have found an answer to something, I realize that the opposite is also True... It makes you just want to smile and laugh at it all. And yes, it's all a reflection of Self. It really is.I think youre right in what you said about self reliance.  And most people happily tell me I'm wrong all the time. LOL But when you know something in your core, it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks or tells you. My Truth is my Truth, not anyone elses. Yours is yours, and I would never want to take that away from anyone. It's funny how often people think theirs should be yours and is the 'right' way. Hmmm.....could really go on and on here.
It's nice when you find people who you can talk with about these things. Thanks.

Hi sueg,  Well, not so long ago, I could identify with what you are feeling. hehe  It's odd how one day you can feel one way and a few days later, you are so far away from that point. I've been where you are too. It's nice. I spend time in both places and have been through just about all degrees of happiness and sadness.... I'm trying to stay in the Now and consciously choosing how I want to feel. Not letting the 'outer' or others dictate it. You are right. Life should be a breeze. And it can be if we choose it.

But you want to know something?I realized today, like a flash in my third eye literally, that ya'll are my friends. I was saying to myself: "These are your friends!"   
We connect, have common interests, etc. etc. We just chat on an internet board. It's not that bad. And like 26Taurus, I come here because at times I am feeling lonely and pretty bored sometimes too. There are lots of ideas and discussions that we relate to each other with.
