Thanks for the suggestion. I havent read that one. When I found The Lion Path, I also picked up one called Rules for Spiritual Initiation by Zachary Lansdowne. You may be interested in it. I'll let you know how it is. ------------------ When you are one, and suddenly you see the oneness outside, all barriers disappear. Then there is no "I" and no "thou"; then there is only God, or Truth, or samadhi, or whatsoever word you like - nirvana. ~ Osho IP: Logged |

What are some of the chapters called?------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Hi sweetsuccubus! Same here. Well, I started the book last night and know it's one I'll be reading over and over again. Talk about timing. And he's already mentioned about 'stepping off the Wheel of Rebirth'. Immortality - it seems to be the Word of the Day. So, so far, so good. Here's a review from amazon: "***** Mandatory Reading About the 14 Symbolic Rules by Alice Bailey, July 28, 2000 Reviewer: A reader Zachary Lansdowne explains in detail the fourteen symbolic rules for spiritual initiation. He clarifies those rules and gives a complete explanation, revealing that each rule has both an outer and inner meaning. The explanation of the rules leads the aspirant from the "Path of Probation" to the "Path of Initiation". This is an indispensable guidebook on Alice Baileys' teachings/books by a master who expounds/reveals to us further information. Additional suggested authors/books for those on the path are- Alice Bailey ; Rudolph Steiner ; Vera Stanley Alder ; "Secret Teachings of All Ages" by Manly P. Hall ; "KYBALION" by Three Initiates ; "ZELATOR" by Mark Hedsel ; "The Secret Life of Nature" by Peter Tompkins ; "Man's Highest Purpose" by Karel Weinfurter ; "Meditation" by Sri Chinmoy." ( ...I believe it can be found online.....maybe I can find the link)And how are you liking Mr. deLong's book so far? ------------------ When you are one, and suddenly you see the oneness outside, all barriers disappear.
