(Computer glitches again, had to divide my post into several)

26taurus,

Before I read the quote "Silence is the most powerful scream", I had already been thinking about how powerful silence could be, and then I found this quote, which was pretty amazing. I had been thinking about a quote of my own: "Some things are meant to be left unsaid"...

I'd just like to say that, I'm absolutely amazed at how those life events I mentioned in my previous post (without specifying the contents of the events) had materialized- "Thought creates, and where you pay your attention grows", "The most valuable thing a person owns is where his or her attention is placed"...indeed. This is true and I am also relieved that so far the events that have come true have been good ones, and I wonder why. I'm in disbelief- and yet I have to believe it. Those things REALLY happened; I used to think about them, concentrate on them intensely, and now I just find it rather incredible that they are now part of reality...

I do believe in vibrations (although my knowledge of them is not sufficient), and how potent the words we think, we speak and we write can vibrate, send their power into the ethers...in short, words of sincere love, caring, encouragement and so forth can heal; words of harm can hurt like cuts of knives and swords...all this is worth further thinking. Again, a heartfelt thank you, 26taurus

Great book! Thanks T!

D -

Thanks.
Btw, 26taurus is a girl
(and quite a lovely one,
if I do say so myself).

On Astro.com.
Go to "My Astro",
then click on "Add new Astro data",
and just enter your info.

Agent 26,

I am actually quite curious about Stuart Wilde,
as I am about (too?) many things.
I will be sure to take a closer look,
much sooner than I had planned,
thanks to you.

And thank you for the quotes.
I'm glad you spoke up,
and I think your timing is exceptional.
It is something I think about a lot.
I know I have a rather big mouth,
but, hey, you should hear all the stuff
I don't say (um, hmm, no, you shouldn't).

I could really use a strong dose of discretion. I am very close now with a person who has Gemini intercepted in the 12th, and she is teaching me a lot about how and when to keep silence, just as I am helping her to speak up much more. It is pretty amazing how we find truth, rarely in any one of us, but frequently in our midst.

I will reflect more on the importance of the points you raise.
For the sake of balance,
I am compelled to repeat one that came to mind:
"Silence implies consent."

Lies get a lot of press.
Propaganda is rampant.
And people are sooooo impressionable
(this is something I keep seeing).
It would be a shame, would it not,
if those who possess even a fraction of wisdom,
doubted their wisdom too frequently,
reflecting too laboriously upon their ignorance,
and, so, refused to speak their truth?

It is ironic and lamentable, I think, that the people who could speak most easily from a place which is not overly identified with the ego, rarely have enough ego to speak. I think, in order to make an omelet, we must be willing to crack a few eggs. In order to convey any truth, we must be willing to break the silence, and even to put our foot in our mouth.

I want so much to be clear, and thorough,
but, you are right - saying too much is a danger.
I recall one Zen monk saying how he despised long sermons.

I speak often,
and people cease to listen to much of it.
You speak rarely,
and your words clearly punctuate the silence.

Perhaps I wield an automatic,
and you are a sharp-shooter.
I miss most of the time,
and you don't even take the shot.
Perhaps we both hit the bullseye an equal number of times.
Who knows?

love to you,
hsc

Hello D for Defiant! It makes me happy to see the realizations you are coming to about yourself and how you are interacting with the people in your life.
And really there is no need to thank me, because I didnt do anything. It was all you, if you know what I mean.
I think one of the best things people can do for themselves is practice forgiveness and kindness to themself. Eveything and eveyone else falls into place naturally after that.
And I believe, there was a reason why you were attracted to this thread and the words within it. And a reason why I didnt say much to your questions. There was a message here for you (as there is everywhere) and you were guided by your higher self (as we always are, I believe) to it's opportunity for self discovery. Put the questions 'out there' and surely with some patient & quiet observation they will open up before and within you. I believe that we all have the answers to the questions we seek, within us.

Thank you for sharing yourself with us here.
I find it beautiful to watch.

Light to you on your path.

26Taurus,

I know you didnt tell us this to get sympathy, but, nevertheless, you have my sympathy. And, I suppose, my envy, as well, for the presence of such a teacher in your life. It is nice to hear you talk, REALLY. You held my interest and then some. You could put this in a book, no sh--. Incidentally, my mother is almost as bad - Sun Virgo, Gem ascendant, Moon in Leo in the 3rd conjunct Pluto.

I dont meet like-minds, with whom I can discuss metaphysical topics, very often, so I try to take advantage of it, in the hopes of forming those kinds of close, caring friendships you spoke of.

With most people here at LL, I confess, I am more interested in what I have to say, and I do see myself as a kind of teacher. I get plenty of genuine encouragement, so I keep talking/teaching. I also tend to direct nearly all of my comments to the things which others bring up (although I cant help relating them back to my perspective), especially when we are in disagreement, as I continue to see in their arguments opportunities to enlighten them. I frequently begin to change my mind when confronted with a good point, and I am hopeful that others can do likewise. So, I persist, even, and especially, when hope seems lost, for, it is often at this point that we begin to reach the heart of the matter.

With some people, however, I enter the discussion genuinely interested in their p.o.v., and trying to be convinced, more than to convince, as I sense that I do indeed have something major to learn from them.

take care,
hsc

If you'd like it, I'll send you Stuart's book. It's a small book. A quick easy read, but great nonetheless. I like to pass on my books to people who are interested in them. I havent changed my email address yet so if you still have it and would like the book, just drop me a note.

And it's nice to know youve found someone who you so connect with and are learning so much from. I'm sure she's learning much from you too.

Take care.

Hi Steve,

I just saw your last post and all I can say is I relate very much. I dont meet like-minds either. (and as I type that, I know I should stop saying that to myself, because then maybe I wouldnt continually be creating that as my reality. ) The people I'm usually surrounded with (guys, at work) make me feel like an alien on another planet most of the time. I see the goodness in this too though.

It's interesting you have a simillar kind of mother. She's got the mutable energies going on. Mine's a Cancer Sun, Cap Moon in the 12th and Cap rising. Venus in Gemini. Another indicator of how she loves to express herself.

I think you are right in seeing yourself as a Teacher. I get that energy strongly from you. You have much wisdom (gifts) to share and we're all lucky to have you here.

Thanks.

Yes! I find arguements/disagreements as great oppourtunities for enlightenment and expansion of ones own awareness too. It's always nice when both parties reach a new level of understanding together.

Nice talking with you.

26,

You said so many good and interesting things, and I am tempted to express all the thoughts you inspired in me, but I dont want to draw you into a prolonged discussion against your will, or, else, waste my breath. I respect that you know your own mind so well. I suppose I do know mine fairly well, too, but I am always stumbling over new frontiers, virgin territories, etc., and having to reassess, and realign nearly all of my views. Its that pesky Pluto in the 9th. It's never satisfied. I am frequently tempted to say "the hell with it," and go sit on the dock of the bay, or something. I feel like I can see and agree with everyone's point of view, and disagree just as easily. I wish you were more inclined to discuss your views. It makes me wonder what you talk about, when you talk. As for me, I can hardly open my mouth without relating everysinglething to some universal principle. The impossibility is in deciding which of the twenty available cliches to apply to the situation at hand (I usually trust my intuition). My mind is just so agile, it may as well be non-existent. Maybe thats a good thing? Anyway, the monologue ends, not because I make my point, or reach a destination, but, because I grow weary of seeing new horizons at every summit I come to. Trying to enjoy the journey/view.

Any day now, I'm going to start speaking in affirmations, and nobody is going to know what in the hell I am talking about, lol. Er, I mean, "I am already speaking in affirmations, and everybody knows what in the heaven I am talking about."

Ooops, guess I ended up saying kind of a lot anyway.

You are wonderful.

best wishes,
HSC

Never a problem, T.

No expectations, promise.

Your replies are always pleasant surprises.

I respect your right to budget
and marshall your energies
according to your own lights.

I am always especially grateful and honored
to receive some of your light,
as I know that you give very deliberate consideration
to nearly every intention and undertaking
you put out into the world.

You are very special.

Muchos Blessings,

- S

26taurus, HSC,

Thanks for all your enlightening words and thoughts- I've only quickly scanned your later posts, hopefully I'll be back and read them in detail ASAP. Yes, I totally agree that love and forgiveness are vital- because we all need to be forgiven; we all need to be loved...perhaps only when we've been loved the balancedly-nurturing, loving way, can we love ourS-elves and others the balancedly-nurtured, loving way...? Anyway I'm sure we all need to be forgiven. It takes a BIG heart to forgive others who have wronged us...quite a lesson to learn...
