Hah, I'd forgotten all about this thread.Funny thing is I've always been intrigued by these "what would you take if you could only take 5 things out of a burning house" type questions. Now I know why! I've recently moved in with a family member. This person was already storing things in his extra room for another family member, so the amount of stuff I could bring along was minimal to say the least! In my first haul I took all of Linda's books, of course. I left the paperback copies behind Eben though they are easier to transport. I just love my hard backs too much to ever abandon. So this is what else I've brought (though I'm apt to sneak more in and shove them under my bed) 
The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need - Woolfolk. (Shows clear instructions on making hand drawn charts in case you're ever without the net)
The Witching Hour - Anne Rice (I've sold off all my Rice books except for the Mayfair witch ones, they are my all time fave fiction) The Astrological Oracle - Lyn Birkbeck (Sabian symbols) My very old copy of Tennyson poems that my ex bought me for valentines one year Cheiros Book of Numbers The Book of Runes- Blum A rhyming dictionary and thesaurus
I know there are more. Will update as unpacking happens

I've been collecting since the late 50s, mostly metaphysical. My first astrology book was AtoZ Horoscope maker purchased at Fritzi's Metaphysical Townhall book shop in San Francisco early 60s, still have it and i keep everything - which makes moving a real hassle.
Luckily Ive been in the same place the last 20 yrs. I guess i am a hoarder for the written word.
I have lots of old versions of astrology software to get rid of if anyone is interested.IP: Logged |

- The Lord of the Rings trilogy

- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
- The Impressionist by Hari Kunzru
- The Monstrumologist series by Rick Yancey Non Fiction: - The Mummy Congress by Heather Pringle
- Essence and Alchemy: A Natural History of Perfume by Mandy Aftel
- Purity and Danger by Mary Douglas
- The Golden Bough by James George Frazer
And so on and so forth, including a whole lot of books that don't have an English translation...
Too many to go through the reasons for every one of them, suffice to say that they are all works that I reread (fully or in part) fairly often, and I always find some new reason to love them! They are the ones that I give a figurative, or literal, caress of appreciation whenever I see them.
