The Flute is a lovely love story that was written by an African writer by the name of M.H.E Manana. It was written in siSwati ( A Southern African language) and translated into English by Z. Sithebe.
It is a short story about love but it is possibly the best love story I have ever heard or read. I find it in a book called The Rainbow Flute. This book is a collection of short stories compiled by D.B.Z Ntuli.
Perhaps one could find The Flute online or in the African Writers section in your library. I highly recommend people to read the story called The Flute.

Can you tell us a bit about the story?

The usual love story. Boy meets girl, they fall in love, girl's parents don't like the boy and try to keep the two apart. The two families move away from one another. Boy still loves girl and vice versa but the ending is different to the nornal run-of-the-mill stuff. I won't mention it as it would ruin the story hehe.
O and the flute is a major component of the story. Physically and metaphorically.

Me, too!

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.

I am sure it is online. Somewhere lurking in Google's shadows.
