 | posted December 17, 2016 08:31 PM Has anyone here used the 1978 book, "Star Signs for Lovers?" Within this 390+ page volume you find readings for the 144 combinations of Venus and Mars.
The introduction says, "The 144 combinations are a mini-horoscope of every human being; a picture of romance, love and passion as it is in everyone. The Guide describes each combination, tells what to expect, what to do." Obviously, that's asking a lot of just two planet placements. A good many of the readings, however, fit people I've known.
If anyone here has studied this book, I'd be curious to hear your remarks. IP: Logged |

 | posted December 19, 2016 07:00 PM This is the Robert Worth's book, first published in 1955.
I read this book when I was 20 years old, it has really good insights into attraction and romantic behavior of people.
However, the planets affect you, as much as you affect how they express.Free will is key. So are the aspect patterns.

Nova, you are correct. And your comments are about what I believe most experienced natal astrologers would have to say - good insights but not the total picture. In Worth's book, Love and Romance "potential" of a subject are rated A, B, C or D, based solely on Mars and Venus combinations. Sun, Moon and other heavenly bodies are not taken into consideration. The readings generally seem to be much more informative than what Sun signs alone would say. However, a person might be badly disappointed in discovering that an A-rated subject just wasn't his or her cup of tea. By the same token, you might flip out over a "D" rated person and discover, for reasons other than flaming passion, he or she is exactly what you've been longing for. .

abebooks.com, an online book sellers' consortium has numerous hard copies. IMO they are all overpriced.
