Star, have you gotten to see Joan of Arcadia yet? She's not very popular, yet it fits her. For some reason, she reminds me a lot of you.

Being alone is over rated? uhhh... I beg to differ. Being along Is WAY UNDER RATED esp. by high schoolers. When I go alone. I mean it to. I need time to regroup after a day at high school, holy crap. But. yea it's cool if you just relax and let it happen... I go to a school that's 11 miles away, Talk about feeling disconnected. I don't fit in there at all. But downtown... uh. I'm like a hit. It feels nice to belong to a more coultured group anyway...

Meh I used to not care at all about missing out on outings with friends/people I was a real hermit, but this year I am truly happy I have a great group of mates ( I didn't have such a reliable group before) and I tend to go out with them alot more.

Of course I like alone time but right now, I'm making the most of what I've got with these people because who knows when our paths will part.

I've noticed that often those popular in high school are not so popular in college. And sometimes the unpopular in high school get their chance at popularity in college.

In College, people are more independant and more mature. It's not a case of hanging around in a gang anymore but being individual. When you're individual or "just different" in high school, you're teased for it but in College, you're respected for it.

I just had this discussion with a coworker this morning. She is in her 40's too. Most of the people in high school that intimidated me turned out to have very uninteresting lives. I was both, popular but a strong head on my shoulders so there were a lot of things i just wouldn't get into. My friend Rita was wild but a lot of our group was not wild, pretty normal. She led me down a few bad paths, ( skipping school all the time and hanging out) but in the end I wouldn't really change it. Maybe study just a bit more...

How do I keep missing this string? No Randall, I haven't seen Joan of Arcadia yet, the reason is because I work on Fridays so I totally miss it. I'll catch it sooner or later I hope. If you really recommend me seeing it, then I'll start keeping track and recording.
