Au contraire! I like it. It makes you more detached, so you don't get taken advantage of as much as some. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Mine's Aries. So I like chasing 'em, and then I end up getting bored, it's hardly ideal!IP: Logged |

An Aries and a Cancer I know went out-they were all over each other for about a week-then the Aries ended it.Just like you said, Hexiana ------------------ "The barn has burned down, and now I can see the moon"-Zen saying. IP: Logged |

My Venus is also in Aries! I like strong, independant women who think and act for themselves, and are also sweet, gentle and warmhearted. Since my Mars is in Libra, the "chase" aspect doesn't appeal as much to me as other Aries Venuses. IP: Logged |

oh there's lots of web sites that will calculate your chart for you: www.astro.com and www.alabe.com are two good ones. i have venus in pisces, which i think is absolutely wonderful! on the good side it makes me artistic loving sympathetic and will be valuable in my hopeful future profession as a therapist. on the down side it makes my emotions very changable (being in a water and mutable sign) to the point where sometimes i dont KNOW how i feel about certain people and things, and have a tendency to become disillusioned and deceived. my imagination definately has a way of getting away with me, especially because its square with my neptune IP: Logged |

Hiyall! Sorry 'bout not replying for a while, I've been distracted by life and my new pisces boyfriend (oh dear). :OBut anyho, you mentioned, somewhere up there, that Libra could cancel out Aries, well I've got an ascendant Libra and it doesn't do anything of the sort! Oh, a question for my fellow arifenessess out there, does it annoy you too when you get these people that go in trying to 'save' you and 'protect' you? Seriously, they bug the hell out off me. I guess it's because they're trying to make you do what they want! But then there's the Taurus sun and all that, so if my lover can't be straight-forward with me (I've another Aries in Mercury to help me out there) I end up going nuts at them and taking my leave. Oh well! IP: Logged |

Natal charts are full of exceptions. I only wrote what I found in my chart. Of course, what's true in my chart isn't true in yours, because everyone is unique. IP: Logged |

Computerized interpretations are filled with contradictions. It takes a real astrologer to put it all together where it makes sense. But computers have their place. Who wants to calculate a chart by hand? ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." *boggles at the concept* The idea of having to calculate an entire chart by hand seems ridiculous to me, to be honest. If you can get a computer to do up the basic facts and then use your mind to draw an interpretation from those facts I think you could get a good results relatively quickly. Hmm, I've thought about paying one of those sites to do an interpretation of my chart but I have the feeling that they would just generate something with the computer. I'd like an astrologer to do it but then you'd have to find a competent affordable one. I wish -I- could do it myself but seriously, there's so much to astrology that I wouldn't know where to begin. As well as that maths and trigonometry especially are, to me, the scariest duo on Earth. C'est la vie, non?IP: Logged |

Plus, if you do a chart by hand, then you're likely to make a mistake and then the interpretation will be flawed. My problem with astrology is that, as most people practice it, its not very scientific. Maybe the real use of astrology is to tell us about our past lives and the personality thing was only supposed to be a sideshow? Afterall, a personality is an amazingly complex thing, I don't think it can be quantified in a few neat descriptions. At least that's how mine looks from the inside. It takes a really gifted astrologer to do an interpretation, I it would probably help if they could observe the person a little bit. ------------------ No longer mourn for me when I am dead Than you shall hear the surly sullen bell Give warning to the world that I am fled From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell. -Shakespeare IP: Logged |

Some astrologers use intuition. The opening of the chart allows them contact (sometimes--if the person is open) with that person's Soul. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Sounds very deep to me! But seriously, the chances of finding such a person are slim. I think one should use astrology for insight, rather than truth. It's an amazing tool but only if used in the right way. Like with me, as soon as I found out my boyfriend was a Pisces it was like, oh he's A, B, C and D, but people aren't like that. So since then I've amended my viewpoint and decided that I should accept, but not expect, the character traits of a certain sign. It was a good lesson to learn!IP: Logged |
