Ya sure do! I moved back to London this year and needed a job to keep the overheads! So I'm currently at my bill paying day job in central London. My role is split between facilities & IS, so I'm kinda in computers too - not that clued up in the role, but it was offered and I'm trying! I love music, & entertainment - well the good aspects naturally. I also do some work in both outside of my regular work hours, mainly in promotion & some extra work. It's kinda cool. I also started work on charity projects which I'm keen to pursue, just waiting for the right time to move to the next step. Other than that I'm actually quite introvert. I love to read, write and think - my best friend is my brain I like to chill out more than going out during the week. Getting on with the simple things makes me happier really. I've faced challenges in the best way I know how & through much book reading, self-help & listening, I found this site & very happy I did How are you finding the course & how long have you got till you finish?

Hey sweetie - got caught in a whirl of work stuff, the last couple of hours fly by in a day like this! Chatzy's a difficult one to handle at work - always got a phone call, or a query so can't reply all the time I have grown to love a wide range of music. I grew up listening to soul & swing - the original Motown blues etc. This developed into my main love for hiphop & r'n'b I still enjoy the old blues classics too. Clapton, Dire Straits, Duran Duran - a mix of 80's - 90's classics are always good to listen to after a while. Oh I also love sound effect CD's - specially rainfall & thunder ones, I find them so soothing. Right now, (apart from hiphop )I'm exploring Maroon 5. I wish I was home right now, I'd list a ton of stuff. I write poetry / lyrics. I find writing my best outlet when exhuming emotion. It helped me get through a tangles of despair. I sometimes come out with remarkable thoughts I wish I'd written down - annoying when you're in a buzzing workplace away from outer serenity! I am adamant that I'll write a book someday, including verses too - since that will be my innate thoughts. When I'm gathered and ready, I shall do it. What about you.. what music do you listen to, and what do you love apart from computers? IP: Logged |

Hey, sorry about the wait been a bit busy with things.I'm into all music, especially lyrics with meaning. I'm becuming rather attached to anything with acustic guitar in it, as i've just started learning how to play. I write poetry when i can, when i'm upet ussually. I'm always halfway through a fiction novel. (lots of fun). I'm a martial artist, thats my real love. I love learning as much as I can, then sharing what I know. How did you get involved with linda-land? IP: Logged |

Hello honey - sorry didn't see your reply!Yeah the same goes for me when writing, it comes from a deep emotion. Martial arts, huh? How cool What type are you doing? I used to do Tae-Kwon-Do up to red belt, someone did an illegal move on my shoulder in the championships, it disclocated, so came out of training. It's a family thing though, shoulder dislocation *sigh* Now I think LindaLand called to me! I started reading Linda's work in earnest when I was 17, I had dabbled and read it when I was little, I mean pre-teens, but didn't fully understand it all (I read anything I could when I was a kid ) My process of thought changed after that. I went through a particularly bad time during 2001 - 02 and didn't have access to a PC. I began to get back on my feet during 2003 and moved back to London beginning of 2004 when I got this job, with access to a PC. I'd sometimes search for areas of interest in spirituality, dreams etc, then I remembered Linda since I was still reading Gooberz. I did a search in May or June, can't remember when I first joined, changed my name in July and here I am! Suzume - would you post some of your poems in 'Yellow Wax'? I'd love to read them. Also how'd you get involved in LL? PS - anyone else feel free to butt in too

Dont worry, it's all good.Sorry to hear about your experience with martial arts. Mine hasn't been the best either. I started in highschool as a sport with some friends. I decided I really enjoyed it and wanted to continue, so talked me folks into it, who were really skeptic. I started classes not long after with two of my best friends. I was doing ken'sei'kan karate-do (a type of tradition karate). Both my friends dropped out as i passed them in the belt system. I couldn't help but pass them, as my teacher really wanted me to go ahead and grade (gfo for a belt) And each time he would double grade me. I started tournaments, and i am proud to say i am un deafeted. No long before i was about to go for my black (one and a half years later) I was pulled out by my mum. Ever since then I have been struggeling to keep the desire to do it. I love it but it gets hard. I am currently doing Zenryoku free-style (green belt) teaching a kids taek wo do class as a favour to a friend and do may thai kickboxing on the side. Ok, never ask me about martial arts if you want an explination less then this one. Lindadland? I dont know exactly how it happened. I was having disturbing dreams so searched Dream, and found this place. Was I drawn to it? As for the poetry, I would love to (i dont have the address) if you dont mind extremely depressing poetry! Hello honey! Apologies for the late response, my feet have hardly touched the ground recently. So you're really into martial arts huh, how cool - hey congratulations of the undefeated title man ! I'd love to train again - I sure need the fitness! It's cool - you can go on about it, I used to be immersed in it when I trained Zenryoku - I've not heard of it here, but will see if the local studios do a class - would like to try it out.. how would you compare it to Tae Kwon Do? I mean how different would I find the styles? Oh yeah - I'm glad you posted your poetry - I wouldn't call it depressing, but as Linda puts in, it's what squeezes out of you when life squashes you.. I really liked it, it reminded me of something I wrote once too http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum17/HTML/000518.html Oh yeah, why'd your mum pull you out when you reached black belt?

Dont worry about the late response, all is good.Zenryoku and Taekwondo are like different worlds. Zenryoku is more immersed into a kickboxing class, with a little bit of self defence, grappling, weapons and anything else our teacher decides to learn. I was just about to get my blackbelt when my pulled me out of my karate style. One of the other students had told her our sensei had his eye on me (sexually) And I have to admit he made it painfully clear what he was interested in. Being a police officer, I decided not to tell my mum some of the gruesome details and leave it well enough alone. I wish i had got my blackbelt tho. IP: Logged |

Ahh man, that sucks Sorry to hear that. Looks like your mum did the right thing tho'. Unfortunately my dad actually thought I had a crush on my teacher because I loved class so much, he embarressed me so much by suggesting it I just found something I really liked that was better than working in the family business! Did you get a 'passport' for martial arts? I did, but have lost it since in the countless times I've moved. It recorded progress by the teacher each week, belts and comps. I can't rememeber exactly, but it was used like a proof of ability if you were out for long periods of time and wanted to re-join... but can't you re-join and pick up where you left off? I'm sure you'll be able to prove your capabilities too Hey - would you know of a good site on Zenryoku? I've just Googled for it and found nothing instantly helpful (also being at work like now can't spend too much time roaming ) I'd love to explore that. Right now I'm concentrating on street dance, and hiphop styles, but always on the lookout for a new martial art to study eventually.

I did have a passport, until my teacher realised I was leaving, and it somehow got missplaced. I still have my certificates tho.As for the site? Hmmm? Try searching google fro zenryoku Australia. It is only a small thing, so you wont get anything out of NSW (sozzy) IP: Logged |

Yeah! I think - he's one of the best story tellers in music.. he was fooling around with the early stuff and it still may be (understandably) offensive to some.. but I love his style. When he needs to express something seriously, he does it well, on the flip side 'Just Lose It', cracks me up.Props to him.. I'll share a poetry evening with him anytime IP: Logged |

He11 yeah, me too! I actually plonked Hybrid Theory in my discman, before dashing out of the house this morning - the red matched my combats! No seriously, I've been wanting to listen to it again for ages. Always wanted to watch N*E*R*D work too, I love studio atmospheres. Well I love music, so the creativity process has always facinated me.IP: Logged |

Sorry Paras, I am the most impatient web surfer in the world.Yeah I have all the Linkin park Cd's, and some songs that arn't released, or at least in Australia. I am going to thier concert (does a dance) when the start touring Oz again. YAY!!! I'm writing a song at the moment for my band and it's sounding very linkin parky, which is awsome. Buying a base guitar in about 3 weeks! For two hundred and 50, which is 50 cheaper then my eletric. And I scored a free keyboard which is really cool for intro's into songs and everything so i'm a happy little crumpet. IP: Logged |
