Does anyone know if sun signs and career choices are associated in any way?

For example it says taurus would be good in business careers and so on.

Is this conection true for those who have careers now.

Hi LightGreen, you can get such an insight by reading the first chapter in Linda Goodman's Star Signs.

As a Leo, I have a true desire to lead, or teach in a way.

What sign are you? I can probably briefly tell you.

Hi LighTgrEEn! Havent seen you in awhile! How've you been?

You can look to the Sun for career choices, but it's even better and more accurate to look to your MC (10th house cusp), and your whole tenth house in general. What sign is on the cusp of it? Are there any planets in the house?

The 10th house has to do with, professional career, reputation, standing in society (among other things). Also look to your sixth house. This is your house of work, heath and service to others. You can also look to your 2nd house for your earning and spending capacity and what you "value". This can mean more than material things.

This may seem like alot right now. Take it slow. What you want to pay attention to for the most part when thinking about career and work is your MC (tenth house cusp) and the whole 10th house. It's that point (angle) at the very top of your chart.

Many aspects come into play and they should be studied and put together. You can take a bit from your sun and the career houses of your chart and put them together. It's good to explore and learn as much as you can in this area. You will limit yourself if you just concentrate on your Sun Sign alone.

Good luck hon.

Uhh... LighTgrEEn? Did I scare you away hon?

Okay, Taurean occupations/careers include:

Banker
Food and Beverage area
Business
(pretty much anything involving money.)
Agriculture
Confectionery
Baker
Clothing Designer
Artist
Builder
Jewelry
Childcare

Hope that helps. Some of this is true for me. What is the sign on your MC?

Hey there 26taurus!
Your posts really helped me. But I am confused about MC (10th house cusp). I don't know what mine is. since i don't know my exact birt time, i don't know the houses. I am assuming the 10th house is my scorpio in pluto??

Hi grEEn,

Well without your birth time, we can't figure out an accurate chart. Your rising sign is calculated from your birth time and the rising sign is what sets off the whole chart and house degrees.

Do any of the Taurean careers resonate with you? What type of things are you interested in? Hobbies? No matter what your planetary make-up says, it really is your choice. And us Bulls are good at just about anything anyway. Are you into the arts at all?

But you know, I'll probably change my mind by next year.

I looked up the aspects you listed in my chart and this is what I got.

tenth house: aquarius
sixth house: scorpio
second house: cancer

okay, well Im kind of new to astrology (so don't laugh if Im wrong haha) but the first thing that jumps out at me is that aquarius + scorpio = rebel.

This does make sense to me because Ive always said that my biggest fear would be being chained to a desk holding down a 9-5. I need to work on my own terms and wouldn't do well if I had to answer to a boss breathing down my neck.

I don't know how the cancer fits in though. Hmmm, very interesting.

Hello Everlong! EEE! To you too. LOL

Hi themeanreds,

That was a great connection you made there!
And I think since you already know that your biggest fear would be to be chained to a desk all day, then you have already ruled out a certain number of jobs. There are so many careers to be had out there, the choices are really unlimited.

By knowing that you have water signs, and one air, on your "career/work/income" houses you can start to make even more connections as to what field would be right for you. What jumps out at me with the Aqua/Scorp influences would be a career in a humanitarian, or invesigative field. You might make a great detective or researcher that in some way results in helping out alot of people. Water signs are also very sensitve and make good care-takers and healers.

Here are some career options for Aqua and Scorp:

Aquarius: Aquarians are well-suited to careers as inventors, politicians, writers, scientists, astronauts, artists and, you guessed it, astrologers!

Scorpio: Scorpions are well-suited for careers as doctors, investigators, ecologists, managers, engineers, navigators and secret agents.

Check this link out. http://www.ivillage.co.uk/astrology/career/sunsigns/articles/0,,160822_162552,00.html

Hope that helped. Do any of those resonate with you?

LightGreen,
Where are you bebe? Hope all is well. Let us know what's going on.

Hey themeanreds, we have the same second, sixth, and tenth house positions. That's neat .

Hi LighTgrEEn! I think Taureans make fabulous teachers. We are patient and usually have a gentle manner and way with others. They say that:

The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book. ~Author Unknown

I think there is alot of truth there. We need more good teachers in this world.

I'm glad to hear you are keeping yourself busy and working hard. The best is yet to come. Wishing all good things to you. Take care.

Hee.

LighTgrEEn, you want to be a teacher? I've thought about that a lot too. I'd want to teach really advanced classes though, so I wouldn't have to put up with actual idiots. But then, you don't get paid very much. But it would be very interesting.

I've found that the best teachers I've ever had were the ones that were scary/intimidating rather than nice/jolly. Heh, I have this whole argument on it based on Machiavelli's ideas of a good leader.

Better to be feared than loved, etc, etc. But yeah, my French teacher is terrific, and she's really nice too- anyone can be a great teacher if they know what they're doing, lightgreen, but just drawing up from my experiences. Although I think it's better to be feared and loved at the same time .
