THE "NEW" CHILDREN

WHO ARE THE "NEW" CHILDREN, and
WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT TO ALL OF US?

The "new" children are those being born onto this planet now with various personality and intellectual differences from their parents and previous generations. Depending on who you talk to, at least three types of "new" children have been identified -- the Indigos, the Psychic Children, the Crystal children.

These groups of children are entering the planet at this time to help with the coming shifts which will be taking place in the next few years. They come with unique gifts, and they impart those gifts to others already existing on Earth.

The most well known of the new groups have been called the "Indigo Children." Many of these children appear to be on a mission to break old patterns and stimulate change in the nature of institutions and traditions on this planet. They have been appearing in all countries for many years, and they frequently get diagnosed as ADD/ADHD because they do not fit into any school system which currently exists on Earth.

If you are not a parent you might wonder why you should care about these new children. If you have ever heard the phrase "and the children shall lead" you need look no further for the answer to why you should care. Everything these children represent is what the human species is currently evolving toward. Just being in the presence of these children can have a transformative effect on an adult and can begin to influence that adult to begin his or her own personal evolutionary process.

In short, these children are our model for change.

If you are a parent you may have this question in mind: Is my child an Indigo? Read the article below to help you find out.

ATTENTION DEFICIT OR INDIGO?

Many educators, psychologists and child development experts will tell you that kids today are different. Professional counselors, psychiatrists and psychologists are being flooded by families in crisis with "difficult", "hyperactive" and out of control children. More and more children are being diagnosed and pharmaceutically treated for Attention Deficit Disorder, Asberger's Syndrome andother psychological disorders. Many of these children are put on Ritalin by a school system that feels a need to control them.

Undeniably, children truly are different today. We see the evidence everyday in schools, at home and on the news.

Some people believe that these "new" children have come to Earth now to help create deep social and spiritual changes. Others believe that these children as expressing signs of distress related to our high divorce rate, premature exposure to sex and violence or too much pressure in school.

Whatever the source of this behavior, if you are a parent of one of these children, you are probably feeling overwhelmed, despairing and exhausted. Indigo Children take an enormous amount of emotional energy!

Listed below are some of the defining characteristics of Indigos. Use this list as a survey, to determine whether your child fits these characteristics:

They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it).
They have a feeling of "deserving to be here" and are surprised when others don't share that.
Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents "who they are".
They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
They get frustrated with systems that are ritual-oriented and don't require creative thought.
They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (nonconforming to any system).
They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If thereare no others of like consciousness around them, they will turn inward, feeling like no other humans understand them. School is often very difficult for them socially.
They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did!").
They are not shy in letting you know what they need.

– from The IndigoChildren by Lee Carroll and JanTober

These children, although very challenging at times, are profoundly gifted and, when properly guided, can be very powerful. If we, as parents and educators, do not learn how to help these children manage their emotional energy (as well as our own), our experiences can be very trying and even extremely damaging.

A Human Design Analysis frequently reveals the underlying personality reasons for the behavior of an Indigo Child. When we see the actual "DNA" of someone's personality, it becomes easier to accept them for who they are, rather than trying to turn them into something they are not. Human Design Analysis also gives specific techniques for living with these profound and wonderful children.

Here's what the word druids had to say about the so called 'dis-ease'
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum8/HTML/000044.html

I wanted to mention this because it pains me to see so many gifted children diagnosed with this because they are different.
Labelling has become very common, and I regret to feel that children are being 'punished' just because they are highly sensitive.
I have also read that the medication numbs them out so much that communication with their higher selves is also blocked off.
So to you children out there who are concerned please be aware it is NOT a disorder.

What are everyone elses experience with ADD? And what are your opinions?

Wow! you made it worth my trip into this thread. It's interesting stuff. I've been thinking for quite awhile that we are actually incapable of evolution. We never seem to make progress as a race as far as who we are innately.

You know, that sounded more negative than I wanted it to... didn't mean to imply that I thought she would be a failure, but to say that maybe she'll turn out to be Indigo and maybe she won't.

I'm doing about the same as always, SunChild, which is to say, quite well. How are you?
