Miss ericaqueen would like me to inform you all that she was hacked, and the spider story, regretfully, is not true.

BTW, spiders aren't bad. Only a few are harmful to us. When I see one, I catch it and let it go outside. The most poisonous is actually a daddy long legs, but its fangs can't penetrate our skin.

Do you mean in general do the spiders bite me when I set them free? Or specifically do daddy long legs bite? I catch them in a cup or bowl. And daddy long legs (some are probably mommy long legs) bite, but to no avail. Their fangs are too short.

If you carried a Daddy Long Legs with an open wound and it bit your open wound would that seriously do a lot of damage?

I catch them in napkins, but they always escape because I never hold the napkin tight enough. I'm afraid I'll crush them, and when they crawl out I drop them and they disappear.

Gently nudge them into a plastic cup with an envelope or something, cover the top with the envelope, and then just go outside and let them out.

They usually walk into the glass...like they know I'm helping them.

I do other insects that way also, except for tiny little spiders and ladybugs (although a spider isn't technically an insect).
