Celebrate endings for they are in reality new beginnings, progress, and things moving in a better direction (no matter how it may appear at times!). Look in loving appreciation at everything that you have been through, everything that helped to form you into the person you are right now, and the person you are in the process of unfolding.

You have not made a single mistake as long as you were paying attention and derived any value at all from your experiences. You are here now, and here is an amazing place to be! Look at the insights you have gained, the priorities you now have, the life you are creating for yourself.. and how that expands out to touch each and every other you encounter. There is so much to give thanks for, it overwhelms at times!

- Ginger Robinson (the most awesomest lady in the Universe)

If I were to offer a prayer, it would not be that some God take away my hardships, difficulties, pain etc. It would be instead that I may be able to make it through anything that comes my way, still have a smile in my heart, and grow as much as possible from the experience.

- Ginger Robinson

It’s easy to put our attention on changing others, rather than looking within to see what the other person triggered in us. Or, what in us has attracted this person/situation that keeps bothering us. (Perhaps life is trying to get our attention, so we can discover something about ourselves.) However, the results you get when attempting to control are not what are really after.

I stole these quotes from my friend Gingers page...

Every morning is a fresh beginning. Every day is the world made new. Today is a new day. Today is my world made new. I have lived all my life up to this moment, to come to this day. This moment...this day...is as good as any moment in all eternity. I shall make of this day...each moment of this day...a heaven on earth. This is my day of opportunity.

-Dan Custer

The key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Discipline is just choosing between what you want now and what you want most.

Perhaps we are looking at this from a wrong perspective; this search for the truth, the meaning of life, the reason of God. We all have this mindset that the answers are so complex and so vast that it is almost impossible to comprehend.I think, on the contrary, that the answers are so simple; so simple that it is staring us straight in the face, screaming its lungs out, and yet we fail to notice it. We're looking through a telescope, searching the stars for the answer, when the answer is actually a speck of dirt on the telescope lens. ~Jason Q.

When I focus on what’s good today, I have a good day. When I focus on what’s bad, I have a bad day. If I focus on the problem, the problem increases. If I focus on the answer, the answer increases.

-Big Book of AA

I have taught my students not to apply rules or mechanical ways of seeing.

-Josef Albers

That's maybe the most important thing each generation does, is to break a lot of rules and make up their own way of doing things.

-Jackson Browne

Rules and models destroy genius and art.

-William Hazlitt

Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible - the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.

-Virginia Satir

There are no absolute rules of conduct, either in peace or war. Everything depends on circumstances.

-Leon Trotsky

I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

-Robert A. Heinlein

Where love rules, there is no will to power; and where power predominates, there love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other.

-Carl Jung

If I'd observed all the rules, I'd never have got anywhere.

-Marilyn Monroe

There's no limit possible to the expansion of each one of us.

-Charles M. Schwab

The only Zen you find on the tops of mountains is the Zen you bring up there.

“It’s an interesting thing. Seeing Kuan Yin relating to a flower so intently. She's not just looking at it; she's interacting with it…I’m seeing how the act of relating to a flower appears to be so simple. Yet, it takes a tremendous amount of courage to make such a “simple” act important. Now, the lotus is floating away.”
