And no I'm nowhere near the top lol, I'm pretty average imo. My counselor and family friends have given me a few places to look for scholarships and stuff.

I saw D today for the first time in forever and I froze for a second and considered walking down another hallway, then when he saw me he immediately looked down and started looking at his phone :l le sigh. I told my friend (who also thinks he's cute and won't stop bugging me to talk to him) to just go after him since she's wayyyy more bolder than I am, so i'm sure she can get a relationship with him easier than I could.

Whenever I start feeling "forever alone" (which is alot lately lol) I just remind myself that there's always 4 years of college to improve on my dating/relationship skills

you? avarage? what subjects did you study at school? and what is considered avarage in america?

dont worry about guys though....you are having a lot to do now since you are preparing for one of the most important parts of your life ^^
and you need time to make sure you are ready to live with the choices you make (what and where you are going to study)

i myself am in a learning marathon till march so my social life got a big blow....but im going to a gay party in a week so hoping for the best there :P

Well from these two sources in 2009 the average GPA is 3.0-ish for females in the U.S. on a 4.0 scale.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/04/13/post_675_n_848753.html
http://www.usnews.com/opinion/articles/2011/04/19/average-high-school-gpas-incr eased-since-1990

My GPA is 3.5 (ok ok maybe not exactly average but I still feel average lol -virgo sun opposite saturn speaking-) and other than the required classes I took all business related electives except for my two years in symphonic band. I've actually had someone question how I could be so modest about myself (they said that if they were me they'd be more showy or whatever :eyeroll: ) but I really don't think I'm all that. In comparison to kids globally and even nationally they have way more achievements and stuff to show for than I do.

And thank you for your advice i'm trying not to worry but lately I just feel like I want to try dating again (I need more experience anyways) lol but then again things do come when you aren't looking right?

Is the marathon fun? And that party sounds fun, I hope you have a blast.. and meet some cuties! - bow chicka wow wow

The avarage here is 75-85 (big shifts happening every year while i have a possible avarage of 96-100 yet i still need higher grades to be accepted to university to the subjects i want

The problem is that the education system here is opressive and only damages students especially those who try....and a lot of electives were closed to me becuse of this even though i was more capable than some of the student studying them

So i decided to do the tests outside the school system where i have more freedom

Thats why im improving my SAT (should study harder though...) and hoping to get a very high score to be able to open more doors to me

I think you deserve to show off a bit becuse of your achievements ^^ since many dont do as much as you do

Pssh, the only way I'd allow myself to show off is if I was a genius who was world renown and knew everything. Even in that case I still probably wouldn't show off lol

I'm glad to hear your SAT is improving, when is the testing date? And have you heard any news concerning the army?

My SAT will be in march so i have time to study and prepare better

I wont be hearing from the army till i go to my summon (next week) and decide if i want the position or not since the summon is blocking me from getting other positions

i went there yesturday

that was quite the prestegious and important position...first time im hearing something of this sort being given in the responsibility of 18 year olds (also highest security clearance in the country)

but i decided to pass it....the position had physical demands that were probably beyond my capability (too much running and standing than is allowed to my bad feet) and the nature of the position wasnt for my liking

after the long evaluation day (i wont tell about that its confidantial and all) i signed the pass form and felt free and that i did the right thing

i sent a request to the militairy for an irregular evaluation for the position i want with a reccomendation from school (some sort of "high schievements" report) and i will send it again tommorow hoping they will approve (oh the long wait...)

if not i did find another (and only one) position that might fit me too that is a bit similiar in its work but has a very different nature...

I feel like blahh I'm about to just go to my 2nd choice university in a second. I've been doing some scholarships and haven't won not one yet. And now I'm doing this one on why black history month is important to me and to be truthful, I'd feel like I was lying if I wrote that it was (long story)... so yea :l. And it doesn't help that I have all these deadlines looming over my head and I feel guilty/lazy. I feel like pulling my hair out with this whole scholarship ordeal.

In other areas of my life though It's good. I just put up some new shelves in my room and a nice curtain (mom's boyfriends house), I got tired of letting this situation get the best of me so I said "eff it" and instead of residing here, I'm going to "live" here. So we're going to start changing the room a bit so it's more comfy and homey (embracing that 4th house NN lol). I think I've been even happier too or something lately -minus the scholarships.

You ready for the SAT?

You ready for the SAT?

My i keep hearing its so exspensive....
I myself am thinking of either signing a contract with the army for a year of work (get paid like every regular worker+army benefeits) or use what i learn what i get from the army to get money for college

After that if il need scholarships il seek them but i want my studies to be left uninterrupted (especially in such a competative field)

About SAT im very afraid since im feeling like im not doing enough.....im gona keep studying and hope for the best....gonna start doing full tests soon

I don't know if you've already heard this and it may be annoying to hear, but those 3 years will fly by in no time . Still kind of crazy that I'll be in college this year when it seems like just yesterday I was counting the years till I started high school lol

Well legally - or is the legal adult age there different (not 18)?

We both have late birthdays though so we still have some months lol but it'll fly by in no time.

Lol you have to serve (unless other factors come in) and im not doing this willingly XD

Its from a bit past 18

And i dont believe being 18 is being an actual adult i think its an internal process that depends on the person himself

True, but legally we're treated as adults. Still can't believe some of the kids in my school will be going off to college and they still act like high school freshman. But everyone is different and we all have different ways of going along our paths :l.

How is the SAT going? Is it this week or next week?
