I was in New York City... this dream was so long I only remember bits and pieces of it. I was eating black eyed peas with friends of mine. We were on 10th street and Avenue B... across the street from the park. I noticed there was something weird about the peas and upon closer inspection I discovered there were these little probes embedded in them with a little blinking red light.

"These are bugged!" I told everyone and we threw the peas down. Then we discovered we were being followed by these secret service guys. They were pretty spooky. I guess we had been followed our whole lives and didn't know it and we didn't know why.

Well we started running from these guys. It was me, Kian and another friend who was a Hobbit (dunno where THAT came from!).

We got to the East River and we were cornered with the bad guys behind us and catching up so we had no choice but to jump in. We were swimming and wondering where we could hide when this doorway opened before us in the water. We were nervous to go in at first but they bad guys were catching up so we held our breath and swam under the water to go through the doorway. When we came back up for air we were in a completely different place and time.

It was daylight and the sky was more blue than any of us had ever seen. There was an island coming up out of the water in front of us. It was perfectly clean white marble steps with sculpted faces in rows all leading up to different levels of what looked to be a city.

"We're home!" I said and Kian nodded and we started walking up the stairs with the Hobbit. We skipped the first two levels and we began seeing all the people that lived there, walking around in their white and forest green clothing. At the third level we had reached the royal chambers but we didn't worry about being kicked out because we knew we belonged there.

There was an intense meeting going on in one of the rooms but we weren't allowed in because we weren't MEN (typical). So I kept the servants busy with redecorating the kitchen so Kian, the Hobbit and I could sneak into the meeting and see what was going on.

We got in and were hiding behind these heavy curtains to see what was going on. There was a heated discussion going on about an attack from another King that was on the way. They were talking about the best defense and if we could beat them.

Richard was there and he was some sort of Captain. I was still behind the curtains and all of these memories and feelings flooded me and I looked at Kian and said "oh my god I'm in love with him in this life" and she nodded and I said "I have to save him this time"

Then we heard the approaching boats of the enemy but it was too late because some of their boats had reached us secretly and their men had penetrated the castle and they barged into the room we were in. I ran out from behind the curtains with this weird weapon.. I don't know what it was. All the royal dudes in the room were surprised to see us and some of them yelled at us to get to our own chambers and it was very chaotic but I remember getting to Richard and killing someone that was attacking him but he was yelling at me to get out of there.

Nick (Rhodes) was a King of some sort but of some kind of mystical world ~ like the fairie realm but not exactly. We had a nighttime wedding planned and several women were getting me ready. I would try to help them but they would shush me. There were many traditions and rituals to put me through... one being meditation to see what witch powers I had.

They dressed me in a black cloak and Nick came by to see how I was doing. He looked very proud of me and he just nodded with a smile and left until the wedding.

I was taken into a room with several women sitting in a circle. They sat me down at an ornate desk with a small altar on it. The senior witch took my hands and as she did my nails suddenly grew long. Purple in colour on my right hand and black on my other hand. She was shocked because that was some sort of very good prophesy or something so she held my hands firmly because I was so nervous I was shaking.

"Nono, don't be scared, dear" she was telling me, "You will be fine. You are meant to do this."

I will have to post this in several smaller posts, and I will not finish today.

As with many other of the dreams you have posted here, we find indications of things that are not as they seem, forces that appear to be one thing, but are another.

The Hobbit, I think, is a manifestation of those forces of light which guide you - like the faerie - elemental forces. They are with you, even if silent.

The doorway under the water represents that opening which exists within your unconscious, able to link you with other worlds indeed! - both inner and outer, perhaps.

The island initially strikes me as something of a past-life memory, but there is also a great deal of symbolic information contained within it - and perhaps it is a combination of the two.

The way I am seeing it, the island is the top of a mountain submerged in water, which could symbolize the emergence of spiritual or ancient energies from the collective unconscious, correlating well with past-life information.

The white steps and sculptures tend to emphasize the symbolism connected with ancient/spiritual energies, especially in a visual sense. But there is a great deal more symbolism connected with them.

The steps themselves symbolize the steps within each level of awareness. White also symbolizes awareness, and is alchemically tied to the number 3, which is the stage in transformation that symbolizes new knowing. Coincidental that you "reach the third level"? I think not! So we have a triple symbolic representation of a new awareness/new knowing - not including the island/mountain or the sculptures, which only lend support to this.

Yes this makes sense, also. What do you mean by inner AND outer?

The Island ~ Yes I see it as a past life memory but I also see tons of symbolism! You did picture the island correctly. I didn't know how to describe it in the dream but the tip of a mountain coming out of the water is perfect. I didn't think about the number 3, though, and that should have jumped out at me. There were three of us (Kian, Hobbit, Me), 3rd level of the city, etc.

*sidenote* I sometimes feel frustrated in this forum because it seem like my thoughts are working properly but I can't seem to get them to the keyboard. I don't generally have that problem and my typing flows but here it's haulting on occassion. Maybe it's because I have such important things to say I can't find the proper words to do them justice?

The people, they are dressed in white and green. In alchemy, green is the color of the second stage of transformation, and otherwise symbolizes fertility/growth, along with a number of connections with divinity. So we could say that the people represent this second level, which suggests a stage of growth (green) into a new awareness (white), which you have passed through (third level). Psychologically (Jungian) 3 represents the beginning of a new process of thought. These symbols are all very interconnected.

Why is my computer acting up NOW?! Very peculiar! I will send this, and start again - so I do not loose it!

So what exists on this third level that you are becoming aware of? The "royal chambers." This is the realm of Mind. And apparently this is where a "battle" is manifesting. Suggested here is that which is at the top, that which contains ultimate power or authority or control (royal).

The meeting here is among MEN - this indicates that the active, forceful, assertive - masculine - forces of self could be somewhat disconnected from the feminine. There are certain lower, subserviant aspects of self (servants) that must be "distracted" in order for you to be able to "enter the meeting." This could also suggest that perhaps there are people/situations that may be distracting you from proceeding. Either way, in the dream it is done - perhaps by re-evaluating choices (redecorating kitchen) - and you (feminine) and Kian (feminine) and the Hobbit (an elemental manifestation making for the magical 3) are able to enter. This is all indicative of the subconscious mind creating balance between the feminine and masculine forces/aspects.

The heavy curtains suggest the veil that your intuition (feminine) is hiding behind. It is through the intuition that you become aware of the forces which are at battle both within your own mind, and those which have perhaps manifested physically. This all seems to be intimately connected with the karmic forces that exist between you and those around you. I do not know who Richard is, but he (or whomever he represents) represents a focal point around which much of these energies are currently revolving.

I have edited much of my original thoughts for this dream, especially in this last segment (and my computer is working fine ). What I had first written was very jumbled and confusing, and there was much more thought about the past-life possibilities and inter-twinings, of which I feel there is. But perhaps this will suffice for now - my thoughts about the past may be better left for some future conversation.

Do you sense any conflictions in your thoughts about what you are being told/taught by others? Do you put your intuitive feelings aside at times in acquiescence to some other?

Does any of this interpretation make sense? If not, I would like to know. I almost feel as if I am being somehow misdirected when it comes to yours, and it is difficult to cut through the mental distractions - if I am.

This dream is steeped in symbolism centered around unconscious, magical, powerful forces.

To me, the night-time wedding to a King suggests an unconscious union of feminine and masculine forces of the highest degree. It suggests a becoming, the beginning of a transformation (alchemically, black is the first stage in transformation), but all happening more or less unconsciously.

There is much ritual taking place, which I would normally dissect and translate - but with you I feel that much of the meaning is already known. The rituals seem to be taken from your conscious awareness, and simply emphasize the transformation process.

The hands - symbolically the right hand represents the feminine and the left the masculine. They symbolize connection/interaction with people and the world. The fingers are extensions of the male/female attributes represented by the hands and can symbolize the manipulation of those activities. The growing fingernails suggest projection of these forces/energies into the physical, perhaps, for you, manifesting through Wiccan ritual (for now). The purple on the right is a double symbol suggesting the growth of the intuition and spirituality - while the black on the left (also a double symbol) suggests either the growth of unawareness or the growth of magic - or both. If both, then the equation - magic + unawareness = illusion - could apply.

The cloak also suggests both magic and unawareness, but the unconscious nature of this magic is constructed so that you CAN see THROUGH it (lace).

To me, the theme of this dream is similar to most of the others: there are forces about which you are both aware and unaware. And the feeling I get is that the veil of unawareness is self created, that this particular pattern of opposing forces was set up by yourSelf and those forces that assist you - before birth - for a reason - for a lesson. It seems that it is important for you to utilize the intuition to discern truth without falling into the illusions that are wrought by those forces "set against" you. There is a difference between true Magic and magic as presented by most (not all!) modern practitioners.

I'll look forward to that conversation. It's only really been the past couple months I've become really interested in past lives. I've always known they were there and had dreams involving what I think were memories but I never delved into them. Now I find myself drawn to learn more somehow but am not really sure how.

Do you sense any conflictions in your thoughts about what you are being told/taught by others? Do you put your intuitive feelings aside at times in acquiescence to some other?

hrmm.. I can't think of anything specific. I guess I feel repressed by what my husband tells me but we're having such serious problems anyway and I don't think the dream has anything to do with him. Maybe society in general. I do feel society can be very repressive of individuality and spirituality... trying to make people conform and putting boundaries on what is normal and acceptable.

Yes the symbology makes sense. I'm just not sure what the dream leads to or if it really has a message I am supposed to see. It does seem to be very similar to a lot of other dreams I've been having this year. In what way do you feel you are being misdirected?
