Im not going to go into full blown detail because I dont want to be here all night. It starts out in a small group setting of close buddies, but the thing is, is that there is no one there that I know except my boyfriend. Were all in a townhouse that has a balcony inside in the upper level, and were overlooking the down stairs living room. There is this little mouse that grabs onto handlebars and swings on a rope from one side of the room to the next. The night goes on when all of a sudden there is a loud SNAP and we look over to see the rope broken. I look down into the living room and see the mouse on the floor. I run downstairs and pick up the mouse, and there is a cut on its belly from where the rope snapped and slashed him. The mouse up close wasnt like a regular mouse. It was more ... I dont know... Like the little alien inside the dead guys head in the first Men In Black, but it still looked like a mouse. Kinda like Feivle fron An American Tail. We run out to find someone to save this mouse and I hold the crying mouse in a towel in my hands to keep it warm, and the mouse clutches its belly. We end up at a coffee shop, and every once in a while I look in the towel to make sure its still alive. After about the third time I look at the mouse, I notice it begins to change. On my last look I open the towel and the mouse has turned into a raw shrimp. I poke it a little and it moves, so I know it was still alive. Even though its a shrimp, I recognize that its still the mouse, and its new form doesnt phase me or make me wonder what is going on.* This was one of thoes dreams that I woke up thinking to myself "Huh??" You think theres any meaning here, or is my sleeping mind just doing fun cartwheels? **Joga**IP: Logged |

Hi Joga~I was actually thinking about this dream before I drifted off to sleep last night. I am determined to actually learn something here and try to help people at least a little after all the help I've asked for. I'll probably be of very little help the first hundred attempts I make but I have to start somewhere!! I'm going to start now just giving some thoughts I have about some of the symbolism in the dream. First the house. You are on an upper level which to me indicates a higher level of thought. Perhaps representing your higher self. You're looking down into the living room which is on the main floor. The main floor makes me think of conscious thought, your waking thoughts. The living room makes me think of the same as the main floor except a bit more detailed because the living room of a house is where we do most of our 'living' at home. So the living room makes me think of basic, everyday common conscious thoughts. So your 'higher self' is taking a look down into your daily conscious self. When I think of a mouse I think of small fears knawing at you. Maybe meekness or 'mousiness' on your part that you don't like or maybe something that's really irritating you in waking life. This problem is swining back and forth to extremes in a situation in your waking life. Something's undecided and you need to make up your mind about something that's gnawing at you. *I could be totally wrong here* A cut on the belly ~ makes me think of feelings coming from the 'gut'. Perhaps this means cutting into the heart of the matter or getting into what your gut is telling you. Maybe this is about your boyfriend because he is the only one you know in your dream. When I think of coffee I think of caffeine! Maybe you need to 'wake up' these feelings you have that you're carrying around with you and essentially covering up and protecting and not truly finding help for. I think the shrimp is similar to the mouse symbolism because it implies something that's been dwarfed, small. I'm having a little bit of a hard time bringing it all together now but does any of this make sense whatsoever? It won't hurt my feelings if you look at me like I'm crazy. I'm learning. ------------------ hello today ..open your eyes ..the snow is falling just like leaves ..aquarian warriors rebuild the ship ..mr rainbow is gone ..hello my love ..here's to your heart ..unfold the lillies in the deep ..the season's over, the shores are sealed ..now ashen roses rain on the fields ..innocent dreamers, look what you've done ..now it's time for the phoenix to fly IP: Logged |

Amber honey, Thanks for reading into this. The things you said may very well be right, but I think its kinda one of thoes John Edward things, Itll all come together in my head at some point. Im usually pretty good about excercising my subconscience, but latley there have been a few things in my life that are kinda screwy, and I've been focusing quite a bit of energy on other things, and not enough on my inner self. I thank you very much for your insight, and Ill carry your words with me to keep me aware. Take care!**Joga**IP: Logged |

Okay ...It does seems that you are "looking down" upon some life situation, perhaps related to your boyfriend, as Amber said. And the mouse does suggest something of meekness or timidity, or some small fear or "gnawing" emotion - some instinctual aspect of self. And Amber is right about the swinging - indecisiveness or back and forth extremes. Or maybe just trying to get your attention. Looking closely at the mouse further suggests that this is an "alien" aspect of self, an aspect that could indicate the exposure of repressed emotions (cut on belly), or a suggestion that your "gut feeling" - your intuition - is somehow injured or needs attenention paid to it. I did not really understand the coffee shop until Amber's post, but her thoughts make sense to me. This could be a further indication that you need to become more aware (coffee/caffeine) of this "injured" aspect of self - which is now symbolized by a "raw shrimp". The shrimp suggests unconscious material (creature of the sea) that has not yet been made ready for assimilation (raw), or it is fresh from the waters of the unconscious. A curious little dream! Cool, Ra! I'm glad you expanded on the shrimp because I was a bit stuck there and with the alien part also! IP: Logged |

Thank you Ra and Amber. Slowly but surely, things are being revieled to me. My family right now is extremely shaken because my father went into the hospital today. He's 62 years old with a horrible drinking problem, and refuses to take care of himself. Almost as if he's given up. This has been "gnawing" on me for years now, and still nothing has helped. I think its time to bring out some of my agressive Aries fire, and take the situation under my arm. Thanks again. **Joga** IP: Logged |
