Okay ...This dream has multple symbols which represent both the conscious and the unconscious and the merging or connecting of the two.
The beach house suggests a place where the collective unconscious (ocean) meets the conscious (land), and looking out the window indicates awareness.
It seems you have become aware of some sort of dynamic between the unconscious (moon) and the conscious (sun) forces. And these forces are powerful, as indicated by the size of the sun and moon.
Here, the symbology gets complex, as the sun and moon can symbolize a myriad of things - including, as you have said, you and your twin. There is a definate meaning behind the 4 "moon/planet things" that I have yet to grasp. They could symbolize anything from people to a time table of some kind, or some sort of cyclic action (moon = cycle).
Your excitement and the other's disinterest could be because of the personal nature of your symbolic "discovery", which of course they do find interest in once they become aware of its "importance" to you. And I have not yet grasped the significance of the two moons merging. This could represent the completion of some cycle, or the coming together of two people within your circle of friends, or a certain amount of time that has passed or will pass, or even the birth of a child. - I am just not sure.
It seems as though your twin is relatively unaware (sleeping) of the phenomena that you have become aware of at first. Moonlight can symbolize romance or magic which is quite appropriate here and no doubt is a "reflection" of your emotions and could suggest something of the future - something magical. Perhaps he will eventually become aware - this could be tied in with the possible symbology of the time table.
To me, the eclipse of the sun by the moon, and the light surrounding and in the center, suggests that awareness (sun) will overcome unawareness (moon) - that enlightenment (sun) will shine through the emotional dross (moon) - that perhaps he (sun) will come to understand you (moon) - and it is no coincidence that at this point he appears from the doorway (transition) in a navy blue robe (both an intimate symbol as well as one of spiritual alignment). I do not know what the daughters symbolize - perhaps they represent an obstacle (not necessarily bad) or barrier that will in time grow and leave?
The effect of this "eclipse" is magical, so says the moonlit waves and dancing dolphins.
The rest of the dream, I do not know. It simply does not register. Perhaps I am not supposed to know this, or it is not yet time to.
There are many open-ended symbologies here ... what are your thoughts?
If this does not feel right, there are other possibilities.
