Hiya everyone Yet another dream symbol i would appreciate some help interpreting... For years now i have dreamt about fish - always associated with water - so i understand that they may be linked somehow to my emotions. The state of the water (Whether muddy or choppy or clear) doesn't seem to worry the fish, they seem happy just swimming around as fish do. The other night however i was swimming under the water and i touched one - i got to pat it - which was quite cool My dream book (By Betty Bethards) suggests that fish denote the need for meditation (although i meditate every day), or that something may be 'fishy'. I have also heard that they may denote a link with Christ energy…Could someone please offer me some insight? Thanks very much Nebel

Hi, Nebel!I will give you some ideas as soon as I can. In the meantime, I would love to hear what Aphrodite feels about this. Aphrodite? IP: Logged |

I think the water and the fish symbolize your spirituality and that your becoming a much better person inside! The muddy water represents some clouded thoughts that need to be taken care of and it probably will since the fish are swimming happily.IP: Logged |

hello ra, nebel, and starlover33,since it has occurred over several years, it may be about your embryonic experience. perhaps you are getting in touch with the state of your soul before the actual birth. the condition of the fluids, i sense, are the circumstances your mother and you were experiencing during the pregnancy. if you ever get a chance to ask your mom, perhaps you could have a chart drawn up of the conception time. this is called a natal epoch chart, and is interpreted by the Rosicrucians as the state of soul before incarnation into this life. the 12th house in the natal chart, in my opinion, symbolizes the embryotic life circumstances of the person, and the nature of the pregnancy of the mother. just my thoughts. aphrodite IP: Logged |

That's interesting aphrodite! How do you do it?I find water very soothing, perhaps when you visit the water and fishes in your sleep, you are letting yourself have a break from the normal stresses of your everyday life. And that could all back to: being in the womb! Like aphrodite said! ------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

Aphrodite, excellent!Nebel, this is my take on it: If the meanings you stated seem not to apply, then I would suggest that we are dealing with unconscious forces/material. A body of water, and particularly being submerged within it, often symbolizes the unconsciousness - either personal or collective, depending upon the "container" of the water - i.e., a lake would symbolize the personal unconscious, and the ocean the collective unconscious. Within this context, I would suggest that you have finally "touched"/connected-with some sort of unconscious material - you have become or are becoming aware of some sort of unconscious material which you have sought after, on your own (swimming). The state of the water (muddy, choppy, calm, etc.) indicates the relative state of the emotions. What do you think? IP: Logged |
