Hiya Guys
Just wondering if anyone had any theories as to what meat symbols in dreams mean... I’ve read different interpretations, such as the dreamer needs grounding, or quite simply their body ‘needs’ meat (If that could ever be true…)
For example last night i dreamt about eating pork + fish, the night before was beef, the three nights before that was chicken... I'm a vegetarian - so its starting to freak me out!

Thanks for your help

Nebel, I am no expert on dream interpretation but perhaps the body needs protein, and is trying to tell you. If anyone else can read dreams,I have one about a lift that goes sideways instead of up and down, anyone have a take on that?

Nebel how long have you been a vegitarian? Maybe you miss those foods and don't want to admit it to yourself? I don't mean to offend you. Or are you getting enough to eat? Are you missing anything else in your life that you insist you don't need?
Moonchild is something in your life not going as expected?

The problem is your not getting enough nourishment! Most people don't dream about food and when they do, it means there hungry! The above string may be right you need more protien in your diet!
If your dreaming about food for days in a row, your body is trying to tell you something, you have to adjust your diet. Did you go see a doctor before you became a vegitarean?

Nebel, how long have you been a vegetarian? The others are probably right. I have these dreams too (and I am a vegetarian), but not so many in a row! It can also indicate emotional needs.

Moonchild - I have had that dream many times! The dream-body moving, separate from the physical, as in astral travel, is what is indicated. How does that strike you? Ever had an out-of-body-experience - consciously?

Hello Ra, yes I have had an out of body experience conciously, many years ago tho now,it was very peculiar to be one minute doing something very mundane and then the next second across the room watching myself doing it. The dream about the lift I have had 3 times in the space of about the same amount of years, I do know I have to reach the 5th or 7th floor but I have not achieved it yet. I have also had a near death experience, which I found was rather wonderful, very loving and comforting.

Thanks for your insight guys
Been a Vego for a while now - but the decision to stop eating meat was from an ecological/animal rights point of view - rather than because i didn't like meat. I actually really liked eating the stuff - so theFajita - maybe i just miss eating meat?!
i did see a naturopath before i took the plunge - and did quite a bit of research before i stopped eating meat. So i think i have the protein part under control - soy and grains and lentils etc…
Ra - i think your theory about emotional needs may be the meat symbols meaning... checked my diary and seems i did need some emotional comfort at that time.

Thanks again

G'Day theFajita

Yes and no is the best answer i can give you I'm still having meaty dreams - but they seem to relate more to chicken (And KFC?!) than to the other forms of meat, and the frequency is far less - perhaps only one every two weeks...

hrmm!
maybe you need an iron supplement, too!

or. well.. KFC.. maybe you are missing some FAT! Be sure you have some fat in your diet.. it's brain food... the GOOD fat not the BAD fat. But I assume you know that considering your vegetarian

Like Ra mentioned, could this be emotional nourishment that you might be needing?

Hiya Guys

Thanks for the advice

I agree with the dreams indicating that i need emotional nourishment... finding that in my life has been a little difficult recently

I know a little about the need for fat... and i actually think that the dreams may well be pointing that out as well...
