I think all of these characters (group/family) are projections of self. The demon could also be a projection of some negative aspect of self, or perhaps symbolizes some past event, some trauma, that haunts your subconscious. It could also represent a person/s that you may be avoiding. It seems it is time to face this "demon."

The demon in the house suggests that this is an internal situation, especially since you-as-a-young-man is looking into it through windows. You're transfer to the young man may indicate a need for a third-person perspective concerning this "demon", and could also indicate the type of energy/mindset needed.

The huge size of the demon emphasizes the subconscious energy behind it. It seems that this pressing, subconscious, negative element (giant demon) has a bark worse than its bite. Confronting it transforms it (dying). You transform it by giving it new life, a new energy, a new understanding. This suggested by many symbols - your blood, thigh (power), wood bowl (dead wood container), amber (fossilized sap - "dead wood blood"), white rice (new, pure, basic energy),golden rod (power/enlightenment/transformation). All of these together are quite suggestive! New, transformative energy mixed with old, hardened, "dead" energy.

The number 10 symbolizes completion, a cycle ended, the merging of 1 (male) and 0 (female). Because this number is associated with the giant demon, it could be the suggestion of an age -10- and that perhaps this was the time of the creation of this "demon".

Your subconsious is definately aware of this energy transforming: "It is finished", number ten, "demon death", the "concoction".

I wish I could detail this dream further, but that's all I have time for. There is so much more, but this is the general idea.

It seems you are/will be dealing with some subconscious material, probably something from your past (but not necessarily), and you will transform it and be strengthened by it - probably with the assistance of some of the more ancient or holistic types of energies/methods (the whole blood ritual).

This is my first post. I'm the one who had the demon dream, lol! Caileah has told me of this website, and I shared my dreams with her, eager to hear what you all might have to say about it.

I will post more a more detailed response to Ra's interpretation tomorrow, once I have a chance to chew on it some more. Suffice it to say, it blew my mind Verrrry interesting stuff here, kids!

Simply put, it seems that there is a comunication with/from the unconscious (whales in water), a communication that you are aware of (sunny day), but that dips in and out of conscious awareness (whales up and down). It culd be that as you become aware or think about whatever this communication is, the nature of it stirs the emotions (big waves), and causes the material/communication to "dive" again into the sub/unconscious. There does not seem to be any negativity attatched to this unconscious or emotional energy, unlike the demon dream.

In fact, it appears that you are enjoying having this "connection" that the others are missing.

In fact, now I am seeing this "communication/connection/energy" as the intuition. How intuitive are you? I would say very.

Ra, I'm still working up a good response to both your interpretations. There's a lot of good stuff to work with, so it'll take me a while, hehe!

I went on a little adventure yesterday and I was just talking to Caileah about it. She suggested I post it here because looking back over the day's events, there seems to be a lot of symbolism there. Care to read? Here goes!

As Caileah well knows, I'm almost insanely obsessed with all things nautical. Particularly, tall ships. The state of Oregon does not own its own tall ship, but Washington does! The Lady Washington, she's called, and these next few weeks she's sailing up and down the Columbia River Gorge. For a fee, you can go on a three hour sail tour. My mother and I drove over an hour yesterday to see the Lady, and this is my account:

So close, so very close. Mom and I made it to The Dalles and got to see the Lady, just as she was leaving for the two o' clock sail. So we went into town, had lunch, then went back to the marina to wait. She was out a ways, doing ... maneuvers, I guess you could call them. I didn't think a ship under sail could do that! Backwards sideways, you name it. Very impressive!

And as luck would have it, it started to pour just as the passengers got back land. As I didn't want to subject my wheelchaired mother to cold rain, I figured we could save the forty dollars and sail on her when it's nice and we can really enjoy it. Still and all, it was worth the trip just to see her. Gobsmacked, I was, to see her.

We spoke to a woman who worked for the Lady, and she said that for the sail, they would seat Mom up by the captain, to keep her and her chair out of the crew's way. Lucky!

There was quite a few people there, but the marina was not what I expected. Very small and nothing there but docks. I was under the impression it was right on the river and there was some sort of visitor center. Could be I'm just stupid.

I stopped at a newspaper stand and bought The Dalles Chronicle, hoping there'd be mention of the Lady in it. I got the last one, and sure enough, there were two small pictures and a blurb on the bottom of the front page.

On the way back, we got caught in a horrible downpour. I haven't seen rain like that since Illinois (almost two years ago). 'course, I would've been happier if it wasn't seriously compromising my vision. Luckily after ten minutes, we turned around a bend and the clouds broke open and the rain stopped. Which was when this HUGE bright blue bolt of lightning shot across the sky and the ground immediately shook with thunder.

Haven't had that since Illinois, either. Very nice.

Fifteen minutes later, a hawk glided over the car ahead of me and totally smackchopped a rodent or something in the grass on the side of the road.. Somebody's gonna eat good tonight. Well, assuming he picks up four or five more of those things.

I always smile when I see hawks because, like wolves and owls, I feel some sort of connection with them.

P.P.S. I've got another dream I'd love to post sometime. I had one dream a week or two ago, and then night before last I went back to the place I dreamt about. Woods and flowers were key elements in the dream(s).

WOW! The Uni-verse just opened up that day and 'showered' you and your Mom with adventures and BLESSINGS!
What a marvelous day!
