Ra, I used to get this friend in my dream for a long time. In the beginning, I and him would be going together somewhere. Then later, he used to come in my dreams but never talk. It used to be painful. In the last dream, he was graduated to some kind of saint, as usual he didn't talk but it seemed to say, "Everything is Ok. I am leaving."

In actual life, I used to ask him what dreams he used to have - he said he would be walking in jungles with a dog with him - something like that.

He didn't reflect anything in real life - that's how I see it - he doesn't remind me of anything external. It seems he was a part of my inner worlds.

Ra, I just got an interesting question. Suppose I dream of somebody, would the other person, also dream of me, do we share the same reality, in the dream world, though they may be represented differently in each of our dreams? Or does each person have his own private astral dimension?

Raj, I think the friend in your dreams represented an aspect of self, as well as himself. I get the feeling that you two shared a few lives, and that he represents to your subconscious some part of yourself, a part you subconsciously associate with him.

It seems that this part, this internal aspect, has advanced much. Silent perhaps, but advanced nonetheless.

As for the questions you asked - I think all of these things are possible. There is certainly a private astral sector, but there is also most certainly a collective astral reality. A book could be written on this topic! (many have!)

All I can say is that the possibilities in this area are endless, and no doubt there is a good bit of intermingling between all the various "sectors" of the astral realm. Some is done seemingly accidentally, some is completely designed and manipulated, and some is everything in between.

Gooberlily is the experienced one in this realm! I have only haphazardly skipped along and happened to experience a few things.

I haven't experienced it personally, but a close friend of mine has described having a dream with her friend in it - then the next day having the friend decribe to her the exact same dream ... they definately feel like they were *together* in the dream state

Has anyone ever tried to do this intentionally? I have, but it hasn't worked yet (that I *remember*)

I think that there are most certainly places in common on the astral plane, where we meet and pass each other. In addition, sometimes I think we visit the Other Side in the astral, but many times we don't remember those experiences upon waking.

I've had experiences where I'm in the astral while dreaming and walking or floating around my home neighborhood in Brooklyn (this of course only happens while I'm in Brooklyn, for the most part. I don't know the area that well where I am now, so I don't plan to take walks here while asleep.)

One time I *walked* (floated) down my street in Brooklyn and I saw a lot of people, though it was the middle of the night. I stopped a man, a stranger on the corner by tapping him on the shoulder and asked I him why I was seeing so many people, it was the middle of the night. I was actually surprised that he felt me tap on his shoulder, and then he said to me, "We're all asleep right now I guess, that's why you can see me and I can see you." It kind of was weird, because that was the first time I remembered encountering a stranger in the astral, and he knew what was going on, as well as I did. I guess I was hoping it was a special ability I had at the time I was wrong!

Since I've travelled over twenty or thirty times in Brooklyn while asleep (at least what I can remember) I actually took the time to make a map of the neighborhood, what it looks like on the astral plane I was on. The basic land/water structure was the same, and most streets, but some parts looked like they were from a hundred...sometimes hundreds of years ago, and other parts looked as if they were from the future. For instance, I saw wooden piers and docks that were well rotted away by the time I was born, and I saw tall glass buildings that don't exist in my area at this point in time.

Anyways, the conclusion I made from that is that we all go someplace while we're in the astral, we are always a specific distance away from our bodies, but sometimes I think what we see around us (other than other people) differs from person to person. Because of that, I could meet up with you tomorrow night in the astral, and I would see us standing on a city street, and you would see us standing in the middle of a field with a few shrubs. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? I hope I'm making some sense.

It is possible to be in each other's dreams, but our memories of the dreams, what we see may not be the same, unless we are on the Other Side, or certain *other* places, where I think some things are fairly consistent.

Also, I think it's important to point out, when I have astral communication with someone, it's rare that we both remember the conversation. Most of the time, it's one person or the other. I haven't figured out the mysteries of that yet, but I have figured out for me, it has to do with who is giving a message, who is receiving a message. The one who receives usually remembers the dream far more clearly than the one who gives a message. Many times when a person gives a message in the astral, they don't remember it upon waking. This happens all the time with my friend Alli, on the same night we'll dream of each other, in the same type of place with the same other people, but depending on the messages of the dream, either I will remember the dream well, or she will.

In another example of this, I know I was talking with a male member of this board last night (not sure who), we were in a rowboat on the Mississippi River (which was flooding) and he said he wouldn't remember our conversation when he woke up! Whoever you were, we had a nice talk and I got a nice big hug from you, and I woke up feeling at peace, so thanks!

And as a footnote, if I want to go find someone while in the astral, I say to myself before going to sleep, "Tonight I want to go find *****, help me find him/her wherever they are tonight, let us share knowledge with each other, and I want to remember our meeting when I awake."

Those are just some of my thoughts

Ra, I just now started thinking, the friend could be Horus (or a piece of Horus), I am not sure why!

He seemed like some kind of Companion, even friend or partner is not the right word. It seemed like he was learning something from me, throughout my life till he 'left' and I was learning something from him. The dog with him in his dreams could be me!

goober, what you said is perfectly understandable, and it coincides with what I concluded. Thanks a lot.

I don't know, But I don't re-member being in Mississippi! I have not grown to re-member my Astral Travels. I am more interested in creating my own Astral Realities! It seems simpler.

Gooberlily,

That is quite some thing.Apparently you travel both into the past and future on the astral plane.
You seem to have crossed the plane of time.Do u get any sensations, when the time period is different, i.e. any feel?
Apparently, we all travel astrally, but only few of us remember the travels.
Maybe u could tell us more one of these days.

You're great Raj

Hi Seeker Any questions you have, I'd be more than happy to share with you what I've experienced.

quote:

I'd have to say, not usually.

Most of the time, while dreaming if the scenery is changing time frames, I don't give it much thought. It seems natural, and just happens. It's only after I awake that I look back at things and start to wonder

There have been only two or three times while dreaming where I knew I was not in the "present" ...in those dreams I knew I had to be in the future. One time happened when I was on another planet or moon (the place was civilized, with buildings, etc.) and I looked into the sky, and the planet Jupiter was very large and looming over me in the sky. So, I just kind of put two and two together in my mind and realized I wasn't in the right time frame. Maybe I even had a glimpse of a future life, and when that future life passes (again) I'll get deja vu

When I'm dreaming, consciously, I first ask myself how long I want to be in this state. Sometimes, literally hours have passed where I've dreamt many things, days and nights have passed, and I've woken up in "real life" and only slept for two hours. It's times like that I wake up feeling very disoriented. It probably happens this way because of the way I view time, and my decisions in my dreams, but I'm not entirely sure

Needless to say, I love to dream, and most of the time I look forward to sleeping Maybe because I'm an insomniac, I try and make the best of my dream excursions
