Can you pl. interpret a small part of my dream for me.
I saw layers and layers of swimming pools, much like some 50-100 trays stacked one atop the other. There were lots of people swimming in each of these. I started swimming at the top layer, where the water was rough and progressed steadily to the bottom most level, where the water was still. My father remained on the ground, as I progressed down to each of the layers, but I could communicate with him clearly, as if his presence remained with me throughout. (Incidentally I depend a lot on my parents for advice but I turn more to my father for worldy advice). He told me something, but I remember catching on to the part-where he was concerned about me. I told him-dont worry, my dress is all right. No-one can see through it. I was wearing a full light blue floral dress.
Okay, now when I reached the bottom tray of the pool(where the water was still), I remember telling my father, that this was much like the sea, where the water at the top, is rough but is calm and still at the bottom. I also told him that I wanted to see the top tray, swimming pool again. I then landed up on the second tray from the top, where the water was rough(though not as rough as the first tray pool). This, going to the top-to the second tray pool, was something that my inner self did not like, and my father too was unhappy about it-but I did go.
Now what does this mean?

I can haphazard a guess(but this may all be wrong). I feel that this means, that I have been dwelling deep into myself(I keep going down-below ground). So I am scared, because the journey I am charting-is something that takes me away from the everyday world. But there is calm below-my soul level.But I am unsure, which is why I go again to the top layer-though not to the top most level-but the second layer. So my journey to my soul has affected the way, I look at things even on the worldy level.
My father-in the dream could mean that there is a guiding force, that is helping me, being concerned about me. This force does not want me to be vulnerable(this relates to the dress and transparency part).
It probably is a message, that I should be more sure of myself and my journey to the soul-as I am not alone in this journey. Incidentally, when I reach the bottom most layer, I remember feeling-this is where I should be-so probably, that is my real self.

Your dream has everything to do with your personal unconconscious (swimming pools) and this is made further evident by the layering of the pools, a perfect symbol for the many levels of our consciousness.

In this case, the surface pool is the consciousness which is presented to the physical world, your surface awareness. The roughness of the water is an indication of the relative state of the emotions.

And you are right about the bottom pool. This is the level of deepest contact with the you of you.

Do you meditate? The dream conveys a feeling of that sort, and you seem to have awareness of the depth of the contact and how it affects the surface of you. Soul contact brings the emotions more under control, makes the emotions more steady, calm. So, your subconscoius self, having connected with your unconscious self, or soul-self, does not wish to re-enter the world of tumultuous emotions, uncontrol. The result of the depth of contact keeps you from fully re-entering that aspect of your emotional self - not necessarily a bad thing!

You must be right about your father, especially because he remains on the ground, a "grounding" force. And he is concerned about your emotional vulnerability, which makes perfect sense when one considers the travelling from one extreme to the other.

You also make the connection with the sea. The sea is symbolic of the collective unconscious, whereas the pools are symbolic of the personal unconscious, which at the deepest level are one and the same. You have made a wonderful connection here.

The blue floral dress - so appropriate! Light blue can symbolize the intuition, that which is pure, and the realms of divine contact or spirit. The floral pattern could be symbolic of something which is "flowering". Interestingly, a blue flower, alchemically, can symbolize the process, or the beginning of the process of transformation, especially having to do with individuation. And I think there is something to this, as the other parts of the dream have everything to do with your individual consciousness as it relates to the collective. Also, we are much more vulnerable while in the process of change or transformation.

I think Raj is right too. The blue can symbolize the vertical alignment of spirit, of levels of consciousness, which fits perfectly with pools stacked one upon the other! Beautiful!

There are some other possible variations, as always there are. Many of the symbols suggest pregnancy, for instance. But this could simply be an alternative for change or transformation, an internal and personal change.

I feel like I am missing something, but this is the general idea presented to me.

As usual thanks for ur enlightment. Yes, I do meditate-or at least try to. Yes, I do feel that a change could be happening-as it should.
Pl. feel free to add anything, which you feel you are missing, no problems.
It has to do with my inner self and such like transformations-there is no question of there being a pregnancy.

I am seeing pregnant girls in my dreams everyday. I saw one last night too. The girl used to work in the same place as I do and she is actually pregnant in real life too. She quit because she was pregnant.
What does all this mean? ( Reference my earlier reply in this post.)They all seem to be sitting or standing near me and talking to me.
