"Christmas back home in Illinois. Mom and I were preparing for the guests to arrive (guests?), and this is where it gets weird. Britney Spears is standing next to me, going through a HUGE rack of clothing, trying to find what would look best on her for the occassion. I stood there gaping as the not-a-child-not-a-woman tried on several different outfits. Well, outfits is not the correct word. Strips of fabric is a better description. Finally the woman child settled on sort of "Fifth Element" strips of fabric top and a barely there red mini-skirt. I could see my mom and sister shaking their heads and mouthing, "No! Make her change her clothes!" but there was nothing I could do. But this isn't the bad part.

The bad part was, my sister got mad (at me) and left and while I tried to get her to stay, I had these visions of a horrible flood in some big city. It was strange because it was this huge pink torrent of water, but I couldn't see where it was coming from. Some sort of tunnel. Stranger still, there were firefighters battling the water. With more water. The pink water was strong and violent and every now and then would suck people under. Hansom cabs kept riding by and sometimes a horse would get dragged in. And I would watch the poor thing kicking and flailing and spinning deeper and deeper into the depths of this water. It was fiery down below, lit up somehow.

Nasty stuff, this. Woke me right up, heart pounding. It wasn't even all that scary, it was just watching those horses die really got to me. And now I have this shooting pain in my right shoulder."

She is an animal lover protector/saviour and a vegan if that helps.

I cannot wait to see what Ra thinks it is. One thing that came to mind, Caileah, is something to do with 'birth' or female issues. I know we have been talking here about Britney's dress on another thread ... but I wonder if she represents to you in your dream that area in your life of childbearing? given her age, her attractiveness, etc.

A flood, in mythology, can represent either destruction or Birth, Life beginning.

That the water is pink reminds me of menstral flow.

The tunnnel .... vagina/uterus.

The fireman remind me of your sister too ... for instance, your sister may be upset with you for something, believing you are going to hurt yourself in some way. The fireman, under the idea of 'helping you for your own good' are preventing something that you feel you want to do?

OSheen, you have beaten me to the punch! Your interpretation is eerily similar to mine, which I did last night, before I read your post. Makes me more confident!

I came to the conclusion that this dream represents one of three things:
- menstration and associated emotions
- pregnancy/birth of girl
- feet sweeping romance

I am sure there are others, but these seem best suited.

I will be as brief as possible while trying to explain the symbology adequately, as I understand it.

Princess, I will have this written as if I am speaking to your friend.

Preparing for guests - something or someone is coming.

Britney Spears (BS? )represents an aspect of self or someone you know that exhibits behaviours associated with ... BS. This aspect, I am assuming, is immature or undeveloped with sexual connotations. The rack of clothing represents different personas or personality traits of "BS" (whomever she represents) and the clothing chosen seems to indicate sexuality, in an undeveloped sense, or perhaps inappropriateness.

Mom and sister either represent themselves or others you know with similar characteristics. They could also represent your own root beliefs or thoughts or perspectives. Do you think like they do? Whomever they represent, they do not approve of this particular aspect of "BS". If "BS" is you, then others are not approving of you; if "BS" is someone you know, then you are not approving of him/her.

Disapproval becomes anger. Emotions heighten. The "vision" seems to indicate what the problem is.

A "horrible flood in some big city" may be symbolic of strong emotions flooding the mind (city). A "pink torrent of water" is more telling. Pink could symbolize romance, feminine energy, or perhaps it is carrying the "baby girl" symbology. A "torrent of water" could symbolize life force or strong emotions. Therefore, a "pink torrent" could easily represent a sweeping romance, and just as easily, a baby girl. The pink water seems to come from "some sort of tunnel." Here again we have a possible reference to birth, the birth canal, or perhaps this is an indication of an opening in awareness.

The firefighters seem to represent control, or effort to maintain control of this flood of emotions and/or life force. Fighting water with water? Emotion with emotion? Life with life? I am not sure about the meaning of this, but I get a disturbing feeling.

The pink water is consuming, people, horses. This is also difficult to interpret because it could be a very individual symbology, but it seems to imply loss of life or aspects of self (people being sucked under) and/or loss of power, with possible sexual or sensual implications (horse). What do horses mean to you?

Being lit up from below would seem to be a good thing, symbolically, but "fiery?" How do you mean "fiery?" Just light or something more active or sinister?

All considered together, the baby theme seems to take first place (especially considering princess' last post!). On a darker note, I cannot shake the feelings of abortion or miscarriage as possible meanings. Hopefully the negativity indicated in the dream is not due to stress involved with these things. But there is stress of some sort, and it has everything to do with perspective.

OK, I think I am officially burned out, so I will end it here. I am not certain I put the whole thing together very well, but you get the picture.
