A few years ago my reader told me that my grandfather was 'hanging around' to help me with that particular phase of my life. I've always remembered that and thought of him often and dearly. At a turning point in my life about a year ago, I had a dream of my grandfather. We were having a conversation, when suddenly the conversation stopped and his face turned transparent, a face built of light almost...and he said to me that he was 'just here to say goodbye'. With that I woke up with a sensation of having met with my grandfather again...and the words he spoke to me that jumped me back to this world, fit perfectly as I no longer needed guidance in a major part of my life that, perhaps he was there for, and was now able to say goodbye and move on towards greater spiritual planes. Is this type of dream unusual? Can anyone relate?

I think you will find many here who can relate. It seems to me you have a perfect understanding of this wonderful experience. IP: Logged |

Hi Scorp, welcome I can most certainly relate to the type of dream you had. It's something that's very special, and doesn't usually happen that often. Connecting with someone on the other side can be a wonderfully healing experience, as I'm sure it was for you. I don't know whether your grandpa was/is your guide per se, but I believe that he does like to watch over you, and helped you along through that turning point in your life What a wonderful experience! Thank you for sharing Scorp IP: Logged |

I've had two specific dreams where I was with people who have passed on. I'll tell you about one. In the dream I was in a forest and came upon an angel, only it was someone I knew. A girl who was close to my family and died when I was about 13/14. I never said good bye to her and always felt guilty about it. In my dream she was sitting on the ground and had these huge wings made of china plates (like you eat off of). She told me that the wings were too heavy for her to rise up and I had to let go so that she could move on. I hugged her and told her I loved her and then I woke up. I have never believed that this was just a dream. I think it was her way of allowing me to say good bye, not for herself but for me. It was incredible.IP: Logged |

Starshower...that was a wonderful and considerate way for your friend to not only tell you to let her go, but to tell you 'goodbye'. How many loved ones who have 'passed' still have 'china' wings? To say 'goodbye' is perhaps the kindest last act on this earth plane we can do for them.... After all just cause someone we love is ready to go off to college, we don't try to make them stay. We say goodbye and wish them well in their new life. It's not like we will never see them again, is it! ------------------

Your story of love brought tears to my eyes, starshower. Thank you for sharing it. ------------------ Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. --Rumi IP: Logged |

That was really beautiful, Starshower. Like mine, I'm sure it's a *dream* you won't soon forget... Scorpia (previously known as ScorpShineth) IP: Logged |
