I was thinking about this today...A major landmark in my home town is the old bridge connecting the new town to the old town. The other day a crazy accident happened when something on a truck's roof got stuck in the portal of the bridge and ended up tearing down both portals as well as the fence on one side of the bridge. My father, who witnessed the accident from his office window, was telling me about it on the phone. Then I remembered I've had several dreams over the years about the bridge beeing insecure and without a fence and me crossing it, scared. It struck me the way our unconciousness is using familiar landmarks as symbols in our dreams...In my dreams I think the bridge was a symbol of me moving from something old (the old town, where I actually also used to live) to something new, and that this scared me...OK, I admit it would be cool to think of my dreams as premonition dreams of what actually happened a few days ago, but I think those dreams where just ordinary messages from me to me...I can imagine how many people living in New York having had dreams over the years about WTC becoming a ruin, the dream simply symbolizing something major in their life falling apart or being destroyed..

-I think it also signifies an old path closing in your life sinced you did cross the bridge leaving the old for the new. -What you said about the WTC is true...do you realize how many people dreamt or had premonitions about WTC. Ofcourse hundreds!! We just don't know it. IP: Logged |

You're right. But this bridge and crossing this river has occured in many of my dreams. Before moving to Greece I had a very scary crossing, the river was wild (in reality it's a very quiet river)and the bridge higher than normal (I'm afraid of hights) - I think it indicated a bigger than normal step. I've also had dreams crossing back, which I think just indicated that things were difficult in the new world and that I wanted to go home (of course the old town didn't look the way I wanted it to..)...Anyway, I believe that all of us have a landmark in real life that we use for a purpose in our dreams and that dreaming about it is not necessarily a premonition... Stella and StarLoverAbout the terrorist attack, a Brazilian medium had one dream. I'll post here what she said. I made the translation for english.
I took this from newspapers,and from CNN. quote:
More than one month before the terrorist attacks in United States, the Brazilian spiritual medium Adelaide Scritori had alerted the president George W. Bush on the dangers of a tragedy during the first fifteen days of September. In letter sent on August 3, Adelaide brings as reference the title " Terror in the air will reach hardly the heart of America" . The spiritual medium says to receive the spirit of Cacique Cobra Coral and she presides the foundation with same name in São Paulo.
In the letter, Adelaide recommends that
"It should emphasized safety's organs to the urgent need of a rigorous control of the north air space, especially New York and Washington " and that " the president avoids to stay overnight at the White House during the 11 e 12 of September" .
" A great fire will spill "
Adelaide, that has her visions always sleeping, informs that " in the morning will be seen great fire, roar and clarity for the north and there will be screams and death. At 45 degrees, the sky will burn, with the terror to approximate - from the Great New City and immediately a great fire will spill ".

Stella, you are so right. I understand what you are saying completely. Many misinterpret these types of dreams as premonitions.Jaqueline - wow! Very interesting! Unfortunately, the President receives so much of this type of material, there is no way to determine whether or not any of it is valid. Of course, some of it is, but how to know?  IP: Logged |

There have been 5 deaths in my family this year & each time I had a dream about people dying & recently when I dream it's always someone who has passed already, it's as if they're coming to warn me so everytime I dream of them I get scared that something might happen someone I love.IP: Logged |
