In the beginning of the dream I was swiming in the sea. It was night and the water was black. I didn't get to see absolutely nothing, total darkness, but there were people with me that for some reason I was following. At my side there was a child, she swimed alone, without needing of me, even so, from time to time I verified if she was fine…curious.

There was one thing that left me totally afflicted in the dream, once in a while something beat in my leg and I " knew " that were pieces of bodies...

Another scene. I walked with a man for the street where I lived in my childhood. This man is a famous actor here in Brazil. After we walk for a while we arrived at my old house, where I lived from 4 to 18 years old. I decided to paint the house of red.
I sat down in the ground beside the man and instead of painting the house I painted the sole of my sneaker and the bar of my jeans. He looked frightened at me, I got up and left to continue walking for the same street.

Suddenly I saw a church, I knew that I had to enter because the group that made me swim in that darkness was in that church. When I entered I recognized them, in spite of not knowing none of them in the real life. They looked at me with an approval glance but they were expecting that I made something that I didn't know what was.
The church was enormous, as Saint Patrick's Cathedral. I was totally lost there and everybody was looking at me, then I realized that they wanted me to fall to my knees before Jesus's image, but I could not, so they began looking at me with disapproval. I left the place.

Then I found a room inside the church with a bed and I decided to rest for a while, but whenever I began to sleep I fell of the bed. Tired, I got up ,that's when this very old man arrived. He was very nice, looked like an angel but he dressed priest's clothes. He had hair and beard totally white. He asked me what was happening and I explained that whenever I began to sleep, I ended up falling in the ground.
He told me:
" It is not your fault, this mattress is very small for you. Look."

When I looked I saw that the mattress was minuscule, very old and inside there was straw.
His explanation seemingly convinced me, but when I would ask one more thing, my puppy that was sleeping with me barked and I woke up.

Any inputs ?

Maybe it is important to emphasize that the old man could sleep in that mattress. I noticed or he told me...
I had the sensation that he was ready...

Jakie..I think the dream reflexes your spiritual search. I think the swimming in the dark can be a symbol of you "swimming in the dark waters of your soul". (Isn't this phrase somewhere in the Bible?). The girl beside you is your daughter (I can't believe how she keeps showing up in your dreams all the time, you must be very close to her!), despite your soulsearching or whatever one call it, you make sure that she's fine, she swims along with you. The bodies you feel, but can't see might represent other people searching for the same as you, people you can't see, but only feel, like people here at Lindaland...The street scene: The famous man who walks by your side might show that you have attracted some attention recently or want to attract attention. Maybe like behaving like a rebellious teenager (by wanting to paint red the house where you lived when you were a child/teenager)...Toning down, not being quite so rebellious, you go for painting your soles red instead (I don't know what bar of trousers mean, so I can't comment that). Red soles doesn't show quite as much as an entire red house, but you might still put your rebellious footprint wherever you go...And it's obviously enough to scare some people away.
The group that made you swim in the darkness was in the church...First they approve of you, but then they don't. Your spiritual search leads you to the traditional church (christianity, catholism, religion), but despite it being huge, there are things within that you can't agree with. But it gives you a place you think you can rest - take a break from your search. It's just the madrass (christianity, catholisism, whatever church or religion you identify with) has become too small for you to get rest here, i.g. find the answers you need. I think the old man is God - at least he sounds like Him! And he tells you it's not your fault that you've outgrown the madrass = the traditional religion you grow up with, though he still is there...

I have tears in my eyes.
I don't have words for describing what I felt when I read what you wrote. To say thanks would not be enough...

About my daughter, it is true, she is always with me, wherever I am, our connection transcends that existence, that incarnation. We are united by something very larger... my daughter is my life...

It will be difficult to continue writing without crying...

For me your interpretation makes a lot of sense. I was created by an atheistic father and a mother that until today, doesn't understand very well the difference between Jesus and God . My grandmother was a spiritual medium. My parents put me in a Catholic school of nuns where I studied from 4 to 18 years old... Only now, writing this, I notice the connection of the house / school... from 4 to 18...

I hated the school, I never had the smallest identification with that religion. At the same time I didn't understand what my grandmother tried to teach me about the spiritualistic religion. Everything was very confused - in religion terms - for me when I was a teen.
I didn't believe in the god of the Old Testament, a revenge god, a destruction god. Creator and destructor. In fact, a while ago I entered in a debate here ,in UC, about this subject.

What I think it's funny, is that today, when I don't depend of anybody, I am tottaly responsible for my life, my father and my grandmother are not here to give opinion, I still have this conflict.
The damage that parents can cause in a son's life it's immense .

Do you think the wonderfull and angelical man with white hair was God ? Maybe I need His approval... or maybe I think I may be blaspheming before certain faiths and ideas that I have.... makes sense. Anyway,He gave me his approval. In person !

Thanks dear

Jakie

The paths we walk seem different, yet they lead to the same place.
They exist side by side, and we walk them with grace.
At some point in our lives,we find our truth within,we learn to be soul still, and learn that there is no sin.
There are only lessons,Gifts from far above.

Hi Stella

I have to tell you. The following night of this dream I dreamed that I was pregnant and I had six babies...
The babies were so beautiful, but I was terrified in having to begin everything again. Begin to take care of babies again.

About the jeans, I was referring to the hem of the pants.
In Portuguese we spoke bar ( barra ) or hems, I translated literally .... sorry.

Love

I don't know, Jakie..What's the word six in Portuguese...?
Babies might be work projects or something else you're giving birth to..It seems like the dream make you laugh. Why? I think the feeling one has about a dream, whether it's pleasant or scary also is significant.

The word Six in Portuguese is "seis"
