Hi! I had a terribly bad and gruesome nightmare last night, so much so that I have been thinking about it all day today. The central theme was around a murder of a young girl in a public place. It was extremely disturbing so I don't think I should post it on here. It was so graphic and real, that when I actually woke up I felt shaken and scared. I nearly woke my husband up, but thought better of it as he really needs his sleep. Why do we have such terrible nightmares at times? What is the meaning behind it all? Please help if you can - I'd be very much appreciative for any guidance. Thankyou! Love and Peace, Sunmeadow Glades. IP: Logged |

Dear Sunmeadow, I totally understand how scary this seems, I've had dreams about murder myself and they are not pleasant. I'd guess the young woman being killed refers to a side of yourself being killed - maybe your young and innocent side? This can indicate that you've killed your youth and now become a grown up. And this can be both painful and scary. Also it happened in public - maybe something has happened recently that made people around you realize that you're not your old self anymore, that a part of you has died/been killed? Or maybe it was the public, persons around you, that "killed" this side of you?

Hi Stella Polaris,I hadn't considered that the dead young woman could represent me. I guess a part of me has "grown up" as I had a baby 5 months ago. The girl was lying face down on a cement path and her kidneys had been cut out and placed upon her lower back. She had a word written on her lower back in black pen but I couldn't read it. I did call for an ambulance so maybe it is a cry for help or guidance? As I said before, it was a gruesome dream, but if I analyse it more perhaps I won't be so frightened of the dreams potent symbols. Thankyou for replying! Love and Peace, sunmeadow Glades. The woman lying face down might indicate that you don't even face the fact that a part of you is dead. But when you tell that you've just had a baby I really get the feeling that this dream is about how becoming a mother is exhausting you, "killing" you - especially since you call for help, calling an ambulance. And the woman being face down might show that this need for help is difficult to admit, to face. The kidneys are vital organs, you can't live without them, maybe you feel your vitality has been cut out? I have kids myself, and I remember how extremly tired I was when they were babies, it really killed me, in a way. And also that you're not supposed to admit that having a baby is not all happiness and joy, it's like if you complain, then you're not a good mother or you don't love your baby, which is not the case at all. Everyone else seem to do ok, so you don't dare to face your own tiredness or exhaustion...Or you might not even be tired, it might just be the entire responsibility or lack of freedom that is "killing you"..or the life, the vitality you carry on your back... Please take care! Love Stella IP: Logged |

Dear Stella Polaris,Thankyou for helping me analyse my dream. Yes, perhaps I haven't been totally honest with myself. Like you say being a Mum isn't easy. I love my gorgeous little boy!!! But, I do get very tired and I don't really talk to anyone about my "negative" feelings. Perhaps that's why I had the nightmare. It was my subconscious mind bringing those issues to the surface in a way that could not be avoided. Thankyou so much for your time and patience. It was much appreciated.
