What do zombies mean? ALL night last night I had dreams that the world was being taken over by zombies... you know the kind that eat brains and kill everyone. It was happening at a really fast rate and started with this zombie Dobermann Pincher. The whole WORLD was going to turn into zombies.

But I had this flying car that I could get away from them with... and I had 3 children in the backseat I was saving (one of which was my own son Hunter)

*blink*

i feel so lonely when i'm not with you ..it's such a shame that i'm spending my time without you ..yet i have found you're from a different world ..don't you understand we ride on a space-ship out of control, how sublime

With zombies I understand dead people (corpses) who are brought to a trancelike animation and obeys the commands of the (live) person exercising the power. And we often think of it as being used for evil, hurtful purposes. We think voodoo. We also use the phrase zombie about persons who act listless and mechanical, like in a trance, in shock, sleep walking, being really drained by someone/thing etc.
I don't know zombies speciality is to eat brains and kill everybody, but that is what they did in your dream, I take?

So. The zombies representing the dark forces, or better the mechanical army controlled by a dark force, ruining your entire world, threatening to also eat YOUR mind if you don't escape.

Something in your mind or your world is dark and not quite under your control and threatening to take over. Or you are afraid it will. You still have the power and the vehicle to keep your sanity/brain, escape into safety. Bringing with you the children respresents the future, the innocence, the part of yourself you value the most (Hunter). Despite the scary zombies it seems a light, optimistic dream.

Hello again Evergreen,

Nice to see you! What a great interpretation! I hadn't looked at it quite like that. I think the zombies in my dream ate brains because I've seen too many zombie movies where they do that!

I've been off the internet quite a bit lately and I miss this site and the people here. I have to make a point of making time for here out of all places!

I probably wouldn't have posted the dream but every time I woke up and went back to sleep last night it would continue and just lasted all night and it was creepy. We did know how how to escape the zombie world domination.. but we knew it would take a long long time and be difficult. We had to wait for the zombies to take over everything, kill all the humans, and then starve from lack of brains! Then we knew we could come back.

Thank you, Evergreen

Amber, I have missed your presence!

The people of the world have already turned into zombies, "controlled by a dark force".

"There are none so enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free." - Goethe

Fortunately, there is always hope.

I tend to agree with you, Ra. I'm about to become a hermit because I'm so frustrated with the humanrace right now.

Slaves can always rebel and win their freedom--unless the enslaved do not realize that they are slaves.

The best way to keep slaves enslaved is to make them think they are free.

Here it is...
It's in the lyrics section under "H"

HURRICANE
i used to live in the greyness of life
like a parrot in a flock of crows
better put on my gold-feathered cloak
and walk out into the cold
and since i was a kid i shone so much from inside out
like san sebastian on prime time tv
and i sigh when i look at all the good things around
all those untold treasures
and unmeasured pleasures
i´d like to be like no other honeybee
sucking on the sweet, sweet flower
and when the sun goes down I got the power to fly...
and that is the only feeling,
the one and only chance to get away
from anything that hurts
that´s what my manager used to say...
when you came into my sight
i (had to) put on my shades
cause I was blinded so much
by the light that you spread
and i´m sure it will grow forever
and scare all the zombies away
and since I know we belong to each other
you can try me out cause it gets me on the go
could we ever hope that we would star tonite
in this crazy show
i know you´ll be like no other honeybee
sucking on the sweetest flowers
and when the night is falling we got the power to fly...
and that is the only feeling,
the one and only chance to get away
from anything that hurts
that´s what my manager used to say...
and that is the only moment
giving away is all we got to do
to take away the pain
till the music will rage in our brains
and then we´re standing in a hurricane
2 b free...
you´re standing in a hurricane
to be free
hand in hand with me to be free...
and the sun goes down...
and the sun goes down...

This isn't a huge deal.. just funny..
I own two Saturns.. a 1994 and a 1997 and LOVE them and go on and on to everyone about them and how they are the best cars.

One of them is named Wiggy (an Alphaville reference) and the other an Alphaville bumper sticker.

So today I'm on the computer and in the other room I hear "Forever Young" by Alphaville so I run into the living room and it is... the new Saturn commercial!!

*falls over laughing*

An odd occurance yesterday. I looked over the Alphaville site very briefly yesterday before I went to bed, trying to make a connection of some sort. I dreamt of a vampire attempting to influence me.

I have never dreamt of vampires before - that I can recall. Even though my wife has a vampire fascination, and even after all of the references in the past here, with you, about them, I have never before dreamt of them. But yesterday ... and in the dream I was quite disturbed by her presence, yet mesmerized in a way when she was physically near me. It does not sound like much, but to me it is QUITE odd.

And, interestingly, the thing on their site that most caught my attention was a previous name of the band ... Forever Young. I remember thinking about that when I was falling asleep.

Curiouser and curiouser ...

'allo Ra

First off.. thank you for taking time to go look at the site. Just the idea that you went to do that means a lot to me. Yes they used to be called Forever Young I'm not sure exactly why they changed it to Alphaville instead except that they chose the name because of the movie Alphaville.

And it is strange you had that dream. Have any ideas about it? I wonder why the vampire was female? What did she look like? What happened in the dream?

This was not a blood-sucking, teeth-baring vampire dream. In fact, it was quite uneventful. She had the appearance of forty-something, was dark haired, enigmatic, seductive (sort of), and most definately had influencing capabilities. She never revealed herself to be a vampire, but I knew that she was. The only two things that confirmed this for me, in the dream, was the way I felt influenced when in her presence, and when she at one point began moving more quickly than we could see. I remember trying to convince someone that she was a vampire because of the speed at which she was moving, but of course he could not see her because she was moving too quickly! But I could, just barely.

Nothing dramatic happened in the dream, but I do remember feeling very glad that I knew what she truly was, and that I was able to somewhat thwart her mesmerizing and influencial ways!
